For what it's worth, this is the only non-key item in the game (excluding the two quest rings) to not be carried over to NG+. At least in DS Remastered.

My firekeeper just died, gargoyles are alive Knight Lautrec still in prison. I do not know how, as I have played through this game numerous times. She just killed herself.
