How to get this sword easier early game
1- Farm and use some humanities (30 is the best you can have)
2- Find the black knight on undead parish (don't fight him yet)
3- Find the folder where Dark Souls save files are located (%USERPROFILE% \ Documents \NBGI\DARK SOULS REMASTERED\)
4- Make a backup from the save file;
5- Go ahead and kill the big guy;
6- If he fails to drop, quit the game going back to the main menu, replace the newer save file with the one you made a backup before killing him.
7- Repeat part 5 until he drops it.

I played this game years ago and went full retard on putting all upgrades and points into two handed weapons, not knowing what I was doing. Found black knight axe and destroyed everything.....then found black night sword and would easily kill bosses on first try. watched so many videos of people suffering on big bosses that I killed way to easy on first try with black knight sword.

Ok, first time playing this game and I've been farming in the final spot to get this sword, but without luck. 30 black knights sword though...

However, I realised that all the other knights I've parried but not this one. After I did, I got the sword 1st drop!

Don't know if it was coincidence, but after farming a worth of 140k souls without getting it, I think this might increase your chances

Not as good as the Zweihander. I'm ok with the lower weight and non-buffable nature, but lacking a usable heavy is too much of a price to pay.

The heavy attack on this thing is cool and all, and It's satisfying as all hell to send enemies into space with it, But it's ridiculously slow to the point that you are pretty much forced to trade with it due to how slow it is combined with rather mediocre range, Good luck landing it on anything, without having to trade while likely taking a ton of damage yourself.

i dont like this things slow moveset because it can get you killed very easily if you miss, so i normally go for the Greataxe because of how amazing it is

meh this things noice but the best BKW is the greataxe (reach, speed, damage, scaling, AESTHETICS) so yeah always go for the greataxe because it has the same amount of scaling and its much faster and has same range too

One of my favorite weapons. The two handed r2, while admittedly impractical for pvp, is still so satisfying to land, especially when you fling someone off of a high ledge to their death. Who needs airplanes to fly anyway

For a more in-depth answer about why you should use this weapon over black knight sword, look no further.

The swords actually have the exact same damage when upgraded to +5. The only difference is the scaling. Whereas BKS has a C for strength scaling, BKGS has a B. While it’s a small boon in damage that comes at a large sacrifice to speed, it means your enemies will suffer far more from a parry. This is a great weapon for Gwyn if you can parry well, as you can take him down in about three hits, or less if you use RTSR, Power Within, or both. But that last bit is not advised, because Gwyn will usually destroy you if you try him with only 20% health.
