  • In the left hand the caestus has an average parry, and a quick jab. In the right hand you can combo
    hooks, or punch straight for more damage.
  • Using a Caestus in each hand is a popular build, but it requires you to spend twice as many souls and

      Pairs well with the weed crest shield and is a good alternative to the dagger for armored foes. For the reach disadvantage this weapon has, it can overcome it's weakness through clever movement mixed with attacks to keep enemies at bay. The moveset is good for a bounty of situations and when the attacks are used correctly, can deliver good combos to enemies alongside even being pretty decent in pvp. A small issue is the damage this weapon deals, it can be difficult to use early game but maybe that is just my experience.

        So boys, I've done a caestus only run before using magic buffs, and im planning to do it again, are any of the infusions (lightning, fire, chaos, magic, etc) worth to use in late game and DLC?

          To this day I always run monk fist builds in these souls games. Dark Souls 2 may be the most unpopular game, but I dare anybody to @ me and say the old bone fists aren't the best hand to hand weapons among all the soulsborne games!

            People talk **** about dark souls 2 while this weapon has A-A scaling for both Str-Dex
            A-A FOR BOTH. ****ING. SCALING MY MAN !
            And what do you have to pay for? 2000 souls and a decent wepon in early game?

                i only used this weapon to beat Artorias, because i can hit him between every atack he does, it was fun :)

                  I punched Andre on accident and he got angry and I want a crystal magic weapon Caestus. You get crystal magic weapon from Logan in the dukes archives if ur wondering. Another thing, if u do not free Logan he will free himself from the archives. Once you buy all his stuff, go to where you first meet seath if you killed seath he will be pretty much naked and will drop white DBreath. Go to the dark room by the moving bookcase, that is where you will find his chest where he sat. Give this a like if it was helpful. Dislike it if you hate me...

                    i think it should have a S scaling in str. i mean after all the stronger you are the more damage this does, right?

                      Occult stats list two different scaling values depending on whether you look in the big table or the occult tab. Please fix.

                        Jeez, I thought they would buff the Caestus in Remastered but I was wrong :(

                        Maybe usefull for dem Dark Souls 3 Meta Parry with Caestus cosplay :>

                          I've noticed that when a weapon has multiple scaling of any grade they multiply themselves somehow: Weapons with D-D Scaling deal even mora damage than weapons with a S scaling on whatever.
