Chaos Bug is an Enemy in Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered. Enemies are hostile creatures that respawn when players rest at a Bonfire or upon death. Special enemies that do not respawn are classified as Bosses, Mini Bosses or Invaders.
A small insect found in Lost Izalith and the Demon Ruins. Has no attacks and usually dies in one hit. There is one that will have glowing red eyes; this one does not respawn and drops the Sunlight Maggot headgear upon death.

I accidentally killed the daughter of chaos with the chaos storm and I tried the poison mist through the door, but after the bug that was there died (I couldn’t see how many souls I got from it) I could still hear chirping. After I defeated the firesage demon I found the elevator type thing that takes me back up to the daughter of chaos bonfire, so I used the chaos storm at that door that was supposed to open and I got some souls. (I forgot the amount of souls I obtained.)

You don't to open the shortcut to kill the sunlight maggot! You can hit it through the door with poison/toxic mist or the special attack of dragon weapons
