Cragspider is an Enemy in Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered. Enemies are hostile creatures that respawn when players rest at a Bonfire or upon death. Special enemies that do not respawn are classified as Bosses, Mini Bosses or Invaders.
Cragspider Information
Fire-breathing insects with three pairs of legs and two pairs of what seem to be arms. Even though they also have wings, cragspiders don't seem to be able to fly properly. Instead, they use them to hover in the air for a short while before landing again.

Attacks
- Fiery BreathDeals fire damage in a wide arc.
- Poking Attack
- Back fire attack (it summons a spherical flame after a cast time if you attach him from behind. It seems a rare attack, I've seen it only once).
Strategy
- Cragspiders are relatively easy to beat. Avoid their fiery breath and approach them to get some hits in while blocking their close range attacks.
- A good strategy is to two hand and just hit them until you run out of stamina then switch to one hand and attack as soon as you gain stamina which should be before they recover from last attack. No armor means curved swords deal excellent damage.
Trivia
- There is a cut enemy from Lost Izalith, the Crag Hollow, which appears to be halfway between a hollowed human and a Cragspider. This suggests that Cragspiders are in fact humans corrupted by the Chaos Flame. This is further supported by the fact that they use a fire attack similar to the pyromancy Fire Whip.

I wonder...where does the wiki gets the names for some enemies? These enemies are nowhere mentioned in the game or is this the literal Translation from the gamecode?

You can see a person squirming inside it even after the spider is dead. The top of the spider is the belly of its host.

They Can also ***** out Chaos Lava Dealing High Damage, But Very Rarely.
Possibly once human; crag spider kills will generate soft humanity.
They have human hands and limbs, and their fire attack is likely to be a type of pyromancy. I think these were humans that were mutated by the chaos pyromancy accident
