Fire Tempest is a Pyromancy in Dark Souls. To cast a pyromancy, you must use a Flame or Special Weapons that can cast Pyromancies. 

 

Primal pyromancy of Quelana of Izalith. Erect giant fire pillars in vicinity.
The tempestuous raging flames resemble those summoned by the Daughters of Chaos when they challenged the ancient dragons and scorched the very earth.

 

Usage

  • Area of Effect
  • Upgraded version of Firestorm. Although Fire Tempest consists of multiple pillars of fire akin to the other fire storm-type spells, the pillars are so large and densely packed that it is extremely difficult for players caught in the area of effect to avoid being struck. This makes the spell a favorite for ambushes, or for warding off players using other AoE types spells such as Tranquil Walk of Peace or Wrath of the Gods.

 

Acquired From

  • Quelana  gives it to you after finishing her favor. She will also drop it if killed.

 

Notes

  • Equip multiple for full use (you'll only really manage 1 - 1 1/3 uses if you equip it once depending on how many times you're interrupted.)
