Gold Pine Resin is a Consumable in Dark Souls.
Gold Pine Resin Usage
- Applies 150 Lightning damage to the right-hand weapon.
- Duration: 60 seconds.
- May only be used on weapons that are on the standard +1...+15 weapon path and which are not inherently magical (see Weapon Buffs).
Gold Pine Resin Location
- Treasure x3: Undead Burg, residence beside first crossbow sniper (tower). Requires Residence Key or Master Key.
- Sold by Domhnall of Zena (only 3) for 1,000 souls each.
- Sold by Elizabeth (only 5) for 1,000 souls each (AotA).
- Drops from Large Mushroom People (20% or 80% Chance - Darkroot Garden)
- Drops from Small Mushroom People (5% Chance - Darkroot Garden)
- Drops from Vagrants, specifically the Red Good Vagrant. (Depths, Undead Burg, Undead Parish, Painted World of Ariamis, Darkroot Garden, Darkroot Basin, The Catacombs, Tomb of Giants, The Great Hollow, Ash Lake, Demon Ruins, Lost Izalith, Sen's Fortress, Blighttown, Anor Londo, New Londo Ruins Lower, New Londo Ruins Upper, The Duke's Archives, Crystal Cave, Northern Undead Asylum, Royal Wood and Kiln of the First Flame)
AnonymousIf you need more use pyromancy or large fire weapon (like chaos zwei) against mushrooms in darkroot. This takes some time but getting 150 damage without any buff spells is large boost.

Early game boss killer. Weapon with this literally melts Taurus, Capra and Gargoyles (and for some strange reason there are actually 3 golden resins to pick from chest before this 3 bosses). Later bosses like Gaping or Quelaag have to much HP to be quickly killed that way but it still gives decend damage boost against them.

Couldn't they have made these purchasable with no limits in the remaster? Mushroom genocide is a no-no. Especially if they punch you harder than Saitama does.

Is there any other way of having resin in undead burg?. I already used the two of them and i kill the merchant XD!

The ones in dark root garden will always respawn and drop them as long as you don’t open the chest they are guarding.

Why can't i use it? I'm trying to use the item but it just has a cross over it or just grey when i try to press R.

So I plan a strength build and I'm not sure if I should use this as a buff or if I should put in some extra levels to get 15 int and use strong magic weapon.

"Very effective against dragon family foes". I don't know what the developers mean by very effective, but literally EVERY dragon in the entire game is highly resistant to lightning!
