Cutting off the Sanctuary Guardian's Tail (can also be obtained from one of the Lesser Sanctuary Guardians if missed)

Best way to do so is to equip a weapon with a long reach and decent speed vertical slash, and bait the chimera to do its water splash attack by staying at medium range, GET HIT by it(it just staggers - no damage) prompting the boss to do his charge attack, roll to the right and cut once or twice.




Note:

Breaks 20 poise per swing.
Do not expect to easily poison enemies with this,it takes a lot of strikes to do so. But if you have rotten pine resin you can enchant the guardian tail with it to quickly build up poison.
