This is what I love about Dark Souls 1, putting on extremely heavy armor makes you a TANK. I wish they'd kept it like this for the rest of the series. In fact, I think all of From's modern games could stand to take some lessons from Dark Souls 1.

Is fast rolling Havel even possible? Yes of course it is.

With 99 Endurance, Havel's Ring and Ring of Favor and Protection we get 250.2 equip load. Havel's set takes 50 and that's 20%. Fast roll is up to 25% so we have 12.6 weight points left to spend them of weapon and shield and still get fast roll.

12.6! That's a lot!

Most shields and weapons weight up to 6. But we can pick lighter shield and heavier weapon. So with most weapon/shield combinations poossible in game we will get weight between 3-12. That's crazy cause it means that fast rolling full havel can be combined with almost any build except ones that use very big and heavy weapons.

It's always handy to have Havel's Set and Ring in inventory. You don't have to wear them all the time but there are some fights (PvE or PvP) when great poise boost is just the thing you need to win even if you sacrifice fast speed and rolls for that.

Sad that Elden Ring has no super-heavy armour set like good ol' Havel's set, I know there is the bullgoat set but that goofy ass pos armour set is a complete eyesore to look upon, Havel's set is massive and imposing looking while still looking really cool

I love how a real, viable strategy for this game is just equipping Havel's armor. If you're struggling, you can literally just put on Havel's set and the game gets easier. It never fails.

just wear giants set. It's has less poise but it's still such a high amount that you can poise through nearly every attack in the game.It also weighs far less and has the highest defense in the game when fully upgraded. still a good set for poising certain bosses like Four Kings and Artorias but wouldn't recommend for fighting most enemies and bosses.

Why would you even wear this? It weighs more than and had less defense in almost every stat than a fully upgraded set of black iron. It had a bit better poise, but not needing to dedicate both ring slots to not fat rolling means you can use the wolf ring for more poise anyway. God this armor is not worth it. Tarkus for life

I used amor and leggins with havel's ring and edurance of 30. That was the only thing That allow me to defeat the amor londo's Duo

I just put on Havel's ring, and the ring of favor and protection and i'm not that slow, but my endurance is about 40.

You can still wear this set without fat-rolling if you equip Havel's Ring and have a reasonable amount of Endurance.

With this armour set and swinging an ultra greatsword, only 3 things in the game are capable of breaking your poise... Dogs, rats, and hollows with torches... Yet you can poise through a building sized hydra slamming its head down on you

I had always through that dark souls was a game of skill, in which you'd rather be fast rolling and learn to d'orge. Then I equiped the full havel set ... I just had to stand, wield my weapon with two hands, and press R1. I beat the 4 kings without dodging or blocking usine only 3 estus.
