Old Witch Ring is a Ring in Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered. Players can equip up to 2 Rings, but equipping two of the same item is not possible.
Effect
- Allows the player to talk to Quelaag's Sister. Without the ring choosing to talk to her only prompts a "...?" response.
Acquired from
- Trading a Sunlight Maggot to Snuggly
- Can also be selected as a starting gift.
Application
- Only known effect is the ability to talk to Quelaag's Sister.
- Does not halve the amount of humanity needed to level up in the Chaos Covenant. This is probably a misconception related to leaving and rejoining the covenant, which puts you back at half of your previous offerings.

To all the people saying that the trade sucks because there is only one sunlight maggot, there isn't. Once you get to Chaos Servant+2 you are able to get another. It is clearly stated on the Sunlight maggot page

You get new dialogue from Eingyi as well, fyi. He is surprised you speak the tongue of the mistress, and still suspicious of you.

Without this ring as a starting gift, I would have given up on the Chaos Servant. Because I know what hardships my Fair Lady is going through, I'm sparing no effort to farm Humanities and bring her some comfort.

Interesting how its essentially a translation ring. But what language do the izalithians speak? Quelana is from Izalith and she speaks english. In fact, she makes no mention of this native language. Curious.

I like to believe that by having the ring as a starting gift, we knew the fair lady in person while we were still alive. And snuggly stole the ring from our corpse when we were not chosen to be undead.

So does the sunlight maggot respawn once NG starts? If so might as well wait for that so you can trade one and keep the other. Otherwise I’m keeping this for tomb of the giants

In the German description it says, that it would increase pyromancy damage... very misleading
She calls you Queelag because of this ring?
