The land of Oolacile was swallowed by the abyss long ago. It is land of powerful sorceries, alien even to the scholars of Vinheim. Princess Dusk is the only known survivor of Oolacile being trapped inside of a chrystal golem during her banishment to a plane of distortion. Artorias the Abyss-Walker is known for trying to stop the abyss from spreading and devouring Oolacile. Although he died before his task was finished and the abyss swallowed Oolacile. Darkroot Garden and Darkroot Basin are assumed to be part of the lost land of Oolacile.
