Paladin Set is an Armor Set in Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered.
Paladin Set Information
Apparel of Leeroy, Paladin of the Catacombs.
Long ago, the Way of White produced its first Undead, a paladin in golden armor. With the legendary treasures Grant and Sanctus, Leeroy set out Lordran, Land of the Gods, in the first Undead mission of the Way of White.
Location
- Tomb of Giants. You must kill the Black Phantom Paladin Leeroy on your way to Nito's lair. After you have done this, you will find a corpse in Nito's encounter room (same room as the Gravelord Servant covenant sanctum), containing this armor.
Notes
- Paladin Set can be upgraded by using Twinkling Titanite.
- Each armor piece of this set reduces Stamina regeneration by 1 per second (4 for full set).
- You must be in human form and must have placed the Lordvessel for Leeroy's Phantom to invade your realm, and he must be killed before you defeat Nito in order to spawn the set.
- It is possible to get this set without encountering Nito: you can enter Nito's lair by sitting in the Gravelord Servant coffin in the Catacombs (after killing Leeroy, but before you face Nito as a boss), the set will be on the corpse in the same spot.
- The corpse may not appear right after killing Leeroy, you may need to exit/reload or warp and then go back in Nito's room.

It's curious how this armour bares such a resemblance to the Ds2 Royal Soldier set, is it just coincidence or is Leeroy connected to Drangleic in some way? Perhaps it could've been his home kingdom? Idk maybe I'm just reading into it way too much

This is the best looking DS1 armor set that never returned in the sequels. And yes, I know about the Royal Soldier set in DS2. That’s cool and all but it’s still not the same armor.

Thought I was clever trying to get Leeroy's armor right after arriving at Firelink, but sadly the trigger to cause his invasion is beyond the golden fog gate.

I can't get this set for some reason, I've killed Leroy before killing Nito I didn't summon him for the pinwheel fight, do you have to summon him?

If you kill Leeroy you can get his set without killing Nito by just going in the coffin for the gravelord servant covenant and pick it up on the right when you get there. Alternatively, just start the boss battle and book it to the right and pick it up and homeward bone.

I've searched forums and wikis, but none seem to explain whether you can still get Leeroy's loot if you kill him AFTER killing Nito. I play hollowed most of the time to not waste humanity, so I didn't even know Leeroy existed.
Nito is dead, Leeroy isnt, will I still get the loot?
Would be a good note to add to any wiki.
