you need tell the phyro guy about izta and after you kill him there is a guy down at the swamp that you can level it with.

I got symbol of avarice on first try with 0 humanity hollow form while trying to get rid of the stupdi mimics in the Anor Londo. Then I came back here to check what It does and it says it is %0.1 chance???
