I might of done my math wrong, (I am 95% sure I am right) but if it is right, there is a 00.00000001% chance to get 10 slabs from the great hollow lizards. Btw, it is a 1 in 10,000,000,000 chance, or a one in ten billion chance. theoretically, it is possible, but in reality it is probably not. For comparison, if you tried to get in on a character and remade the character every time you did not get it and it took 10 minutes every time to kill all the lizards, (Assuming you killed all 10 within the 10 minutes even if you did not get the slab) it would take 19,025.87519026 years to do it, or 19,026 years when rounded. That, is kinda rare. So, if you want to get 10 titanite slabs just from those lizards in 1 playthrough, you would have to play ds1 for 19,026 years without eating, sleeping, working, using the bathroom, ect. But, that is assuming it only takes 10 minutes to make a character and run all the way over there to kill the lizards. but, if it took, I don't know, lets say a day. You are not a speedrunner at the game and it takes a day. That would take a whopping 2,739,726.02739726 years, or 2,739,726 years. Yeah... Two Million, Seven Hundred Thirty Nine Thousand, Seven Hundred Twenty Six Years. Uhh, I don't think anyone wants to try to get 10 slabs. if you are though, good luck! (Obviously no one is going to try this but it is fun to think about.)

I killed all 10 lizards in the Great Hollow with 410 item discovery and got 0 slabs, so that is possible too.

How to get 99 slabs:

- ring both bells (need to be able to talk to frampt)
- obtain slab from stray demon, and have at least 99 arrows
- place slab in bottomless box
- go to firelink shrine
- go to arrows, go to drop all arrows, but cancel out
- while rolling, use homeward bone and open menu before roll is complete (don’t stop moving!)
- close menu while continuing to move
- run to frampt and select feed item (again, don’t stop moving until you see your inventory displayed
- if done correctly, you should see a message box pop up that says, do you want to go to last bonfire
- move to desired object you want to duplicate, then select no
- it will ask if you want to drop X amount (should match your arrow count you pretended to drop earlier)
- select yes. This will place it in your bottomless box inventory, and give a bunch of souls

I can confirm that there are 10 crystal lizards in The Great Hollow, which have a high chance to drop at least one Titanite Slab.
In my current playthrough I've got 2 Titanite Slabs from those lizards, which is really nice.

I would suggest looking up how to duplicate the slab through glitching.
I once spent around 4-6 hours, basically the entire day before I had to go to bed for work the next day, and I didn't get it to drop a singular time. I used all the coins I had and the covetous ring and I upped my humanity to the maximum for item discovery, still nothing.

These things are so ridiculously difficult to farm and you only get 4 or so of them in a playthrough. So if you want to actually try out some different weapons without having to create a new character all the time, doing the duplication glitch is the only sane thing.
Spending the entire day farming for a virtual item is an insult to your time, respect yourself, fight the power and duplicate that slab.

I encourage anyone to first play through the game and do things the hard way before trying what I'm about to share but if you are a vet and just trying to quickly create a build... On YouTub, Ducksual Speedruns has a video for duping materials and consumables that still works for all gaming consoles. It's a bit tedious but all the steps can be done in the time it normally takes to farm one slab and you'll have 99 instead.

Have any of you ever just found a random item sack doing your slab grinding? I play online but was hollowed and already defeated 4 kings. About an hour into my grind an item appeared near the first ghost encountered before dropping down to the lower portion. I ignored it and then two runs later it was there again. I ignored it. Then a couple runs later it was in front of first urn that gives you the transient curse. I was concerned about it being a hack that would cause my account to be banned. It could have been the game overlords having pity on my fruitless farming attempts and just dropping some slabs for me lol. Has this happened to anyone else?

If you play on the Switch you just need one slab, do the Framp item dupe and now you have 99. I don't recommend doing this if you are new to the game because this takes fun out of it. Every player should experience the frustration and joy of farming and there are a few items (divine blessing and the mushroom) that makes the game easy mode. However, if you already done several playthroughs and just want to quickly do a build this glitch can get you the materials and souls you need in less than a day's work.

Doing a quality build and was assisting players with boss fights. This one guy dropped 3 slabs. They will be put to good use for sure. Anyways, sometimes doing co-op pays off.

I recommend trying the crystal lizards in the great hollow before farming the dark wraiths. It's tricky but there are some good youtube videos that show a walkthrough of the area. Great combustion it's very effective. There are 10 lizards there and all have a chance of dropping a slab. On my runs I usually get at least 2, sometimes 3 slabs.

For those wondering how long it takes to farm a Slab from the darkwraiths: I collected 20+ chunks before I got a single slab and it took hours. Gold Serpent ring and 10+ liquid humanity.

Uhh I didnt get one from the Stray demon in Asylum revisited? I'm assuming a glitch which... is another one of the hundred things FromSoft could've fixed with this cash grab sold as a Remaster. Seriously they had SO much more money in 2018 than when they first made this game and yet they did nothing but improve *some* textures and give it 60fps. Also you can now warp to ONE more bonfire in the catacombs because F*ck you.

Side note, the vagrant that spawns sometimes really freshens up the whole farming experience. Had two spawn within an hour. Some people must have been having a really bad day lol.

This isn't my first time farming slabs in New Londo, but this just happened and I thought it was hilarious. I went down to New Londo to farm chunks off of Darkwraiths, and on the first Darkwraith that I killed, I got a slab and a dark hand. Last time I farmed Darkwraiths, I did it for a good hour and got only chunks. Good luck my friends for good RNG on farming these bad boys!

There's some play throughs where I will spend hours farming for slabs in New Londo but not my current one! Because I got 3, yes 3, slabs from the blessed lizards of the Great Hollow and 2 red titianite chunks as well and I haven't even gotten to Sen's Fortress yet.

I was farming for slabs in New Londo and also had my summoning sign down for the boss fight just to break up the monotony. Got summoned and either the guy realized he didn't have the ring or he just wanted to be a troll. He hesitates at the bottom, runs back up to the top and almost gets murdered by the ghosts hitting through the wall. We get back down to the bottom and I assume he just wants me to jump and do the dirty work. Well... the boss fight never starts and he never drops down and I can't homeward bone. Thought I was stuck and then I remembered reading about the Black Separation Crystal. Once I return back I resume farming and first wraith killed yields a slab. Guess everything happens for a reason lol.

I am currently farming for slabs Ng+ and got now 70 tianite chuncks so I guess I killed at least 100 darkwraiths and no slab so far... eventually one will drop and then a second one..

If any newer players are discouraged from farming, sadly this is the easiest slab to farm in my opinion. Just have to grin and bear it I'm afraid.

Beware that this can ruin the challenge of the game for you, just by having it and knowing you could use it at any time, but if you play on PC and don't want to farm endlessly for slabs and you're doing a fun run you can always use the "gadget" software that speed runners use. Just don't abuse it as dark souls without the challenge isn't that replayable. Beware

Just accept the 4-ish you get through normal play. Grinding them isn't worth your time unless you're planning on pvping at a specific SL and don't want to just move on NG+.

Somebody check my math. At a spawn rate of 0.21%, that turns into 0.63% with the gold serpent ring. There are 9 darkwraiths in new londo, and running from the bonfire to killing all 9 if done with perfect parries is 3m30sec 0.63X9=5.67 1/0.0567=17.64 runs through anor londo to spawn 1 slab on average. at 3m30s a run, this would take 61 minutes average to farm one slab if done with perfect timing each time

At 410 Item Discovery. The drop rate will be 0.67%. If you kill 500 DWs(~50 runs). You'll get 96.5% chance that one of them will drop a slab.

For anyone wondering about some stats: I got around 330k souls farming these, don't know how much time I spent. There are 10 darkwraiths per run, meaning I killed around 220-230, so 22 or 23 runs total. I got zero titanite slabs, around 40-50 titanite chunks and 7 dark hands. I used covetous gold serpent ring, symbol of avarice and held 10 humanities the entire time. Yeah I got unlucky for sure, but just as a warning, the drop rate for this thing is abysmal. It makes you feel like the concord kepts of DS3 are a common drop.

” (Confirmed on 11/30/12) Killing all 10 Lizards usually results in at least 1 Titanite Slab, sometimes as many as three.” This is misleading, it is completely possible to get 0 slabs across all 10 lizards and somebody only looking for 1 could easily kill all 10 with no item discovery expecting a guaranteed slab because of this information, it should state that 0 is possible but usually rare instead.

What's the deal with this thing? I farmed 16-18 runs on darkwraiths yesterday and i barely got one. And today i got 3 in one run. 3 titanite slabs in a row from the Darkwraits in New Londo Ruins, out of 10 kills.

The best way to get these suckers on ps4 is to save scum the crystal lizards in the Great Hollow. Seems to be roughly a %10 chance, but that's easily the vest drop rate you'll get, as the darkwraiths droprate seems to be closer to 1/400 at 30 humanity and a covetous gold serpent ring. I only ever found 2 from them, on 5 different characters.

If you have the patience, these CAN be farmed from the Darkwraith Knights in New Londo Ruins. With Covetous Gold Serpent Ring and 30 Humanity (playing on Unpatched version), it took me somewhere around 4 hours of solid gameplay to receive two Titanite Slab drops. A good chunk of that time (maybe 30-60 minutes?) was spent purely trying to recover my lost humanity and souls from dying near the Drakes lol. It may take a few hours of serious grinding, but you can definitely get at least one titanite slab from Darkwraith Knights if you keep at it. People say the've never received one and it's probably because they simply quit before getting one. I also try to play for at least an hour straight, because in my experience you're more likely to get something if you keep at it than if you play for 20 mins then quit; play again for 30 minutes, then quit. This could be just me though. The biggest challenge is getting your groove to consistently get past the Drakes without wasting much time or resources. I usually just run past them, but there are times where it backfires. Just run down to the Drakes from the Bonfire near Darkroot Forest (where the Black Knight spawns), and run past the Drakes. This is by far the fastest way to get there.
