Hollows are an Enemy in Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered. Enemies are hostile creatures that respawn when players rest at a Bonfire or upon death. Special enemies that do not respawn are classified as Bosses, Mini Bosses or Invaders.

Hollows Information

Hollows are weak enemies that can be easily dispatched but can surprise players if in large groups. Only lightly armored, are sometimes not bearing any arms and often seen with poor-quality daggers, swords, and bows. Torch-bearing hollows can also inflict Fire Damage.

love the ones you find just staring off into space or enjoying the scenery
being hollow isn't always so bad

Actually common hollows with broken swords are one of the most dangerous enemies when it comes to their very agressive berserk moveset.

They waste no time for evading or defending instead they focus purely on jumping attacks or quick charging with surprisingly large poise damage.

And this is uncommon since most enemies in DS prefer more cautious and slower fighting style.

While hollows in early areas could be simply tanked the stronger versions ecountered in the Painted World or revisited Asylum can easily take almost whole health bar of endgame character with their combo attack.

the ones with torches are nightmare creatures, Don't waste your time meleeing those ****ing monsters, hit them with a firebomb or a spell, it's not worth the estus from one horrible little idiot

There was this one time where two of these dudes used their combo on me simultaneously, I couldn't even get mad that was beautiful

These hollows are all the players who gave up trying to beat dark souls, becease it was quote on quote "to hard"

I have a somewhat philosophical question. If a bearer of the dark sign, i.e. an undead, loses his soul and his humanity, he ultimately becomes a hollow. The Hollows you encounter still give you souls / humanity when they are defeated. How can this be explained? Since they lost their minds and their souls and humanity a long time ago, you shouldn't get anything from them.

I came back to Undead Asylum, i killed Oscar and the Black Knights. Now i was farming this guys when i notice that when i killed them the R1 from my Claymore, they gave me 100 souls, but when i kill them with the R2 i get 121. I am using the Black Knight Sword and i get 121 souls from both the R1 and the R2. What's wrong guys? I have Ds Fix on and i am playing the PC version on the Prepare to die Edition. Is this some kind of Easter Egg or something?

I came back to the Undead Asylum and noticed that if kill them with R2 instead of R1 they drop 121 souls instead of 100. Can somebody else confirm this? i am playing The Prepare to Die Edition, with the Ds fix for the frames on.

I like to think all the hollows in undead burg are the players that bought dark souls, played for a few hours and got frustrated, quit the game and never started playing again.
