Sorceries in Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered are a type of Magic and can only be cast if the player has an equipped Catalyst. Sorceries can be cast by the player at any time and each requires a specific number of Attunement slots in order to equip. All Sorceries have a required amount of Intelligence that must be met in order to use, with the highest being 50 and the lowest being 10. This forces players to make tough choices with their Stats, as players opting to use high level Sorceries will have less points to spend on Strength, Dexterity or Endurance, limiting their effectiveness in melee combat.

Catalysts also effect the damage or effectiveness of Sorceries depending on how much Intelligence you have. For this reason, players wishing to optimize their use of Sorceries should look into just which Catalyst to use for their Build.  Further information can be found here: Intelligence and Faith Catalyst Magic Adjustment Values

20 1 50 A straight line of crystals pop out of the ground in front of you, shooting towards your target. One advantage of this spell is that it will take out large groups of enemies if they are lined up one behind the other. It has a medium cast time, but once it fires, it will take out anything in its path. 20 casts make this a great high level replacement for the soul arrow at high levels, as it's not as useful on most bosses. To be honest the sorcerer build is the most awkward build in the whole ds series. like I be wanting to be a total tank and not wanting to be weak and fragile. also you have a small selection of already magic weapons which is why sorcerer is the most awkward build

Shame how many sorceries were lost in ds3, and how many even in this game are locked behind dlc. Doesn’t ruin either game, not in the slightest, but 4/5 (great deep soul and deep soul may not count as 2 different sorceries in some people’s eyes) dark sorceries in ds3 is just kinda disappointing. Also the removal of resist curse and remedy makes no sense. Overall, the removal of all these sorceries just doesn’t make sense. Miracles are accessories most of the time, sorceries are offensive most of the time. Why they removed so much offense and 2 of the best and only accessories is just baffling to me.

This does slightly less damage than a regular Soul Spear. It has the same slow cast speed as the heavy spells, and like all other slow spells becomes significantly faster at 45 dex. It also cleaves everything in a line and has the same range as the soul spells.

What makes this spell so cool is that it has 20 uses per slot, so you can basically carry 40 of them around in NG+1, 60 in NG+2 etc.

One question, is frampt able to buy sorceries, pyromancies and miracles? I have had a couple added by npc's and I don't like having them, I want to get rid of them.

It's kinda sad that the only "good" Abyss Sorceries are Dark Bead and Pursuers, while Dark Orb is as slow as the Heavy Soul Arrows and Dark fog is just a sorcery equivalent to Poison Mist.

I want to experiment as a dark sorcercer. I was wandering if the spells are good for PVE and bosses. Any Ideas ??

For all the bad things I said about Ds3 magic system, this is far worst. Not a lot of spells, not sure if they have hybrid catalysts and the spells are so slow...
