- Damage is not dependant on Humanity, like the description implies.
- Leaves lava behind for a bit. Follows same mechanics as Fire Whip.
is this good? I've never used it on my pyros, only really chaos fireball and tempest, those seem quite nice, I've suprised I've never even used it! I guess I saw it from the one witch and figured it was kind of lame looking, but I've only ever tanked it on my fat roll builds cause it's easy to roll around, so it could deal absurd damage...

The damage on this thing is absolutely worth the 2 spell slots

This Pyromancy is the one redeeming quality of lost Izalith
Awesome little pocket AoE. The two slots and underwhelming spell VFX make a lot of people tepid towards this spell, but it's absolutely worth it. Does very high damage with a very fast tickrate on it's multi-hit property, and penetrates multiple targets.
I think the biggest virtue of the spell is the extremely fast casting speed. While the spell itself locks you in place for a couple seconds while attacking, the startup time on the spell is unusually low, akin to the Combustion spells. This benefit alone was enough to convince me to drop the Firestorm series of spells as an AoE option, as you can much more consistently land Fire Whip spells against multiple targets, even if the AoE radius is significantly smaller - I just corral enemies into a tight cluster or line before casting
