Crown of Dusk is a Helm in Dark Souls. It is part of Antiquated Set.

Crown of Dusk Description

"Special magic crown bestowed upon Dusk, Princess of Oolacile, upon her birth. Its wearer is blessed by all manner of magic. This raises the power and effect of the wearer's magic, but damage suffered by magic attack also rises."

Where to Find \ Location

  • Found in Darkroot Basin, after saving Dusk of Oolacile. Kill the Golden Crystal Golem in the back of the Darkroot Basin cave (far behind the Hydra), go back to where the corpse was in front of the Hydra, and summon her (you DO NOT have to be in human form), then return to where you found the golem. You will find the set there.

I can't help but wonder if this was some kind of practical joke on From's part.

I would have taken the Monks's Head Wrappings again over this silly ah- magical princess piece of headgear.

You get 20% more damage but look like a dork for the rest of the game
That's great choice and consequence right there, devs of other games should take note

Really regret making my sorcerer bald for this playthrough. Mother****er looks like Sloth from The Goonies.

There is missleading rumor that CoD boost magic adjustment. That's not true. Because if it was the case weapons buffs and heals would be afected as well and they aren't.

It works ONLY on Sorceries / Pyromances / Miracles doing DIRECT DAMAGE ON HIT by increasing their final damage by 20% (after adjustment is calculated).

So it DOESN'T work on any type off weapon buffs, self buffs, poisons/toxins, heals, consumable items and weapon attacks (including projectiles fired from weapons with durability cost).

Is looking like a toilet-paper catboy worth oneshotting the hosts and occasionally the bosses worth it? Decisions, decisions...

              • To all low level twinks who use this: your dark bead has enough dmg to oneshot hosts by itself, why not be fashionable? Ahem I guess some people are born without the sense of style, especially the dark bead twinks, or just love this headpiece for the toxic look

Does “weapon buffs” include miracles that buff your weapon? Presumably yes tho I’ll check once I get sunlight blade

If you're using any kind of damage dealing spells this will probably be your default headgear. It not only boosts magical power but it's also very lightweight and gives additional curse resistance. So wear it.

Just watch out for magical attacks.

Oh and there are graphical mods making it less ugly.

thanks god there is mod that makes bunny ears invisble, probably the ugliest head piece in the souls series

Sorry guys, i have a problem. I killed the golden golem, but I didn't summon Elizabeth and I went to directly retrieve the object for the DLC. going back, I saw that her symbol was not there and neither was her set behind the vortex. Should I do ng +? Thanks for the help

Is it just sorceries or is it magic damage in general? Like Will I get extra damage on the Moonlight Greatsword?

                            Hey guys
Right After I summoned dusk a golem killed her -.- couldnt even Talk to her...
Her armor Set now isnt there. Is it lost forever?

                            • Anonymous

So I apparently her summon sign is gone if you obtain the Broken Pendant before freeing her, so I can't summon her to talk to her (or buy stuff) and now I can't get the Crown...? God this game pisses me off sometimes with its over-complicated and cryptic conditions that need to be met to obtain stuff, or you completely lose the ability to get it. Can I still get the crown if I defeat Manus then talk to her? I really want that crown for my pyromancy build when I do shard runs.

Wearing the crown gives a small souls increase when killing with spells. Tested with/without crown and spells/melee kills.
