"Greatshield with an eagle design. Lightest and easiest greatshield to handle."
"Greatshields are very stable, and deflect attacks. But one cannot parry, and instead bashes with the shield."
Acquired from:
- Blighttown treasure, found on a rafter close to the upper area Bonfire.
- Video Location Timestamp 6:35
Notes:
- Both the lightest and least Strength reliant greatshield in the game, an excellent tool for anyone looking for heavy deflection on a character with low strength and/or endurance.
- Although it sould be noted that the Iron Round Shield (a standard shield) also boasts heavy deflection at even lower required Strength, higher Physical Damage reduction and a parry instad of a bash, albeit at slightly lower Stability.

Not sure there is any good excuse for this thing to not have 100% physical damage reduction.
But otherwise it’s a pretty good Greatshield for the relatively low weight and requirements compared to other Greatshields.
This is an amazingly broken shield. Pretty much anyone can wield it and the ease with which it holds off boss attacks at high upgrade is a minor price to pay for taking just five percent of the damage.
If you want to face roll the game but don't want to get to an Artoria's Greatshield or any of it's peers, From's got you covered. If you want to cut Kalameet's tale the easy way, this is what you want. Yes, it can take alot of elemental damage but if you have the right armor set up, you can ignore that, too. It's also nice for O and S if you want to face roll that fight.

For me, it’s not really a general purpose shield because it has only 95% physical damage reduction and can’t parry, but when you need high stability in a package that isn’t obscenely heavy, the Eagle Shield delivers in spades. With a strength requirement of only 16, it works very well with my dex character.

lol i made it crystal..now its broken i can't use and can't repair it anymore. so stupid

Good shield should be used against Artorias boss fight and is very light but can't parry
i normally use it with ornstein's set or havel's set

Amazing shield. Great for when you want great stability and resistances without fat rolling. I use it when I need that over dank stamina regen and don't wanna parry

The upgraded version of this shield has great enough stability to block Artorias attacks.

God-awful shield. Possibly the objectively worst greatshield in the game.

Wait what? the default stability is 70.... so..... why exactly does it say that stability is 70 at max when its higher?
- Anonymous
"slightly lower Stability" I think I'd call a difference of 15 at minimum & maximum upgrades a bit more than 'slight'
