"A wooden kite shaped shield. It is decorated with the ancient symbol of a double-headed eagle, painted yellow."
"Wooden shields are lighter than metal shields, but with lower physical damage reduction, and reduced shield stability."
Acquired from:
- Starter Item: Initial equipment for Cleric.
- Purchase: Undead Merchant (male) in Undead Burg for 400 souls
Hints and Tips:
- A thinner, somewhat lighter and much less stable Wooden Shield. Great for cosplay bit not much use for combat.

A viable use case for this could be a mage trying to min max weight with MLGS. it has 1 unit weight, and can be buffed with magic shield spells bringing its usefulness up to a reasonable level. it provides medium deflection knockback for essentially a light shield which works well with the medium swing speed of the MLGS. Pretty niche I admit though.

Only just realized the reason it's called East-West is because the eagle's heads are facing those directions.
Despite being the lightest medium shield that has the fast parry in the game, it's hopelessly outclassed by the wooden shield, due to having worst physical and stability than the wooden shield. It's also exclusive to the undead male merchant meaning that there's better shields that can be similar obtain. As a light fast parry medium shield, it's completely outclassed by the heater shield, since the heater shield has a 100% physical reduction, more stability and it's similarly obtain from the undead male merchant. There's little reason to use the east-west shield over it's competition. As a result, it's rarely used

looks cool time to use a titanite slab on this, fed every other shield to the snake because this is all you need
