one of my fav weapons in pvp. it does similar damage to the claymore. claymore 1 hand r1s are goated and same with the 2h rolling attack but the r2 on the flamberge is a good mix up for wake up. the backstab damage is pretty much the same as claymore with optimal str and dex. fun weapon. imo manserpant gs is the better gs but flamberge its fun

PERSONALLY i think this is the most meh sword in the series. ds2 and 3s flamberge looks awesome.

Looking at it from above, I think it looks like a giant corkscrew

Nice private moveset video, like whats the point of even having it there

Nothing special about R1, just typical slashing like most swords, good for stacking bleed.
R2 is the other story and reason why to use this weapon.
Altough it's called Flamberge it sucks with flame upgrades. Stick to regular / lighting / magic / divine path.

This thing is ugly af not gonna lie, but its wonderful against the firesage demon and the asylum demon part 2

I still can’t believe this isn’t a curved Greatsword, or even just a Curved Sword.
PVE is not really good (like most swords) I mean you can do better...
PVP is High Tier for sure (not among the absolute best but not bad at all). Doesn't deal huge damage but compensates that with a somewhat great move set, simple but effective. Kind of fast. Is great for Dead Angles.
The weapon has a certain reputation for being a "combo weapon".
I disagree with that opinion, in the sense that most weapons are great for doing combos (or better said, I don't think the Flamberge is particularly better for executing combos, making them easier or with more hits...). That said, the animation of the Flamberge hits makes the combos look really cool. So, it's a fantastic weapon that gives the fighting another flavor. I absolutely adore this weapon.

I wanted to use this for my "Earl Arstor-Build" because in the german version if the game the item desription says that this the favorite weapon of earl arstor of carim. So I guess it's not canon?

Is this weapon supposed to be a rare drop? I’ve found three of them just from having to run back and forth through Sen’s Fortress pre-Lordvessel

Why doesn't anybody say like:"this is so good" or "this is absolute trash" or "i dropped it and now i can't pick it up anymore" , in other words: the normal comments? Why is litteraly the only thing you guys say:"it is so not like the real one" or "it just looks like some kind of disabled blacksmith made this"?

Being about as curvy as your mother, this is... Well, a really badly curved non-curved sword.
I much prefer the design of the flamberge in this game over the designs of the subsequent games.

Why is that the weapon model of flamberge in DS1 very different to DS2 and DS3?
This weapon sure did get a serious glow-up in the later games huh?
