Gravelord Greatsword Dance is a Miracle in Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered. To cast a miracle, you must use a Talisman or Special Weapons that can cast Miracles.

Miracle known only by the servants of the first dead, Gravelord Nito. Giant Gravelord swords jut out in vicinity.
Many have died, and many eyes were claimed to realize the Greatsword Dance, a Gravelord ritual known only by his closest servants.

Usage

  • Deals Magic damage for 3.1x the equipped Talisman's Magic Adjust; this multiplier is increased by 0.1 for each rank-up of the Gravelord Servant covenant, and reduced by 0.1 while not in the Gravelord Servant covenant.
  • Several swords will pierce the ground impaling enemies in the Area of Effect. This miracle is very effective when used in closed quarters such as hallways or bridges as several swords may impale the same enemy.
  • Upgraded version of the Gravelord Sword Dance  miracle. Area of Effect is expanded with increased damage.
  • AoE miracle similar to Gravelord Nito's "scream sword" attack.

Acquired From

  • Obtained by reaching Rank 1 in the Gravelord Servant covenant. You can obtain this spell only once per character.

Notes

  • Each cast cost 20 uses, so it can be used twice to full effect.
  • This miracle has no Faith requirement and can be used to great effect by a faithless sorcerer with a Velka's Talisman.
  • Members of the Gravelord Servant covenant will receive a damage bonus of 10% per Covenant Rank, up to a maximum of 30% at Gravelord Servant +3. Nonmembers may still use the miracle, but will suffer a -10% damage penalty.

Did some testing, leaving the covenant will not give you a damage penalty, you just wont get the buff from the covenant ranks so being out of the covenant deals the same damage as being in the covenant at rank 0

Can someone change the number of uses from 20 to 13? I have video proof of this and can provide it if asked.

Ok, just to seeif i have this right. Greatsword dance and sword dance. Join covenent, gets 100% dmg. Leave without ranking up gets 90% dmg. Rank up to +3 gets 130% dmg. Rank up to +3 then leave gets 120% dmg, or 90% dmg?

I think an update changed the usage from 20 per to 13 per. Meaning 3 uses. Forth cast will use the single remaining sword.

Question if you get the 30% buff by getting to +3 in the grave lord servants will you keep the buff if you leave the Covenant or will you loose it

NOTE: This is the upgraded version of the spell. This one requires 10 eyes of death being offered to Nito to obtain, whereas the first version just requires you to join the covenant. You can also kill Nito and remain in the covenant, so don't worry about killing him.

Sorcerers can make great use of this with Velka's talisman as It has no faith requirement and acts as an AOE attack, which is something's sorcerers severely lack.

Note: You don't actually lose 40% damage when leaving the covenant, that's just Fextralife misinformation. Whoever wrote this article doesn't know how MagAdjust works.

Tested on a Black Knight with Thorolund Talisman:
                    +3 Gravelord - 385 damage
                    Not Gravelord - 341 damage

That's roughly a 11.4% damage decrease, NOT 40% like this wiki claims. Still, if you're running this miracle without being in the Gravelord covenant, you're probably better off using Firestorm unless you really like the aesthetic of the spell.

Now that the Gravelord covenant actually works this miracle finally has its time to shine! The slower speed isn't that big of a deal, especially when you can walk a few quick steps while casting to avoid immediate danger or turn your back away from fishers.
Well depending, if you're unlucky in an area that stretches out too far the enemy might not get hit.

Damage example (Crown of Dusk + Ring of the Sun's Firstborn on 42 Faith, Darkmoon Talisman):
Test target: Hollows in the Painted World

Wrath of the Gods - 657 (No change at any point during testing)
Gravelord Sword Dance - 656 or 657 (Occasional shift may depend on instability frames)
Gravelord Greatsword Dance - 834 or 853 (Occasional shift may depend on instability frames)

This was tested with Gravelord Servant +3, and do remember that it does matter. The difference of being top rank against nonmember is 40%. 10% of extra power for every rank plus the damage reduction of 10% for not keeping up the Gravelord name.
Since there's no Faith Requirement you could also use this on an Intelligence build for an AoE spell that they otherwise lack, although the damage won't be quite as good as on a Faith build. At 42 Faith and 42 Int respectively the MagAdjust is 198 for Darkmoon / 185 for Velka with the difference favoring Darkmoon the closer you get to 50.

I'd recommend using the spell in/when
                      A) Ambush situations, preferably in tighter areas.
                      B) Your enemy is downed from something (Wrath, Emit Force, backstab etc.)
                      C) Your enemy whiffs a big swing with a slow weapon.
Bottom line is, give it a shot. But only if you're determined enough to get those Eyes of Death and stay a Gravelord for the rest of time.
