Great Hammers are a Weapon Category in Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered. Great Hammers are among the largest weapons in the game and require very high Strength, to the point they are mostly two-handed. Their heavy weight compounds to deliver large powerful swings, causing staggering and breaking enemy guard. The Large Club has an AOE lunging attack that covers a huge area.
- Pros: Deals high Strike Damage, excellent Poise-breaking ability and can stagger enemies/foes. Good Strength scaling.
- Cons: Very Heavy, with slow attacks and long recovery time, consumes a lot of stamina per hit.
- Recommendation: Couple with Iron Flesh or some heavy Armor.

What to choose, should I go Demon's Great Hammer or Dragon Tooth? Decisions, decisions...

everyone knows in DS1 best great hammer is Dragon tooth and i will explain my reasons why: first of all it has high base AR which coupled with low scaling makes a scary weapon. second it can be buffed and some of the more powerful great hammers like grant or Smoughs hammer cant be buffed. third it can be found in the mid game or even early game if you do sens skip and do a ton of other stuff to get it supa early. fourth it is the third lightest great hammer. and fifth it has so much LORE and looks AWESOME
