Iron Flesh is a Pyromancy in Dark Souls. To cast a pyromancy, you must use a Flame or Special Weapons that can cast Pyromancies.
Pyromancy of Carmina, who harnessed the power of flame to actualize the inner-self. Iron Flesh boosts defense and resilience.
Use of this pyromancy requires caution, as the caster becomes exceedingly heavy and unable to move freely.
Usage
- Personal Buff
- Duration: 30 seconds
- Self-buff, raises defenses and Poise, but makes user ultra heavy, making him unable to move freely: can only walk; can't run, sprint, dodge, or jump.
Acquired From
- Laurentius at the Firelink Shrine after saving him in The Depths
Notes
- Iron Flesh is a Self Buff and interferes with other such buffs (i.e. Great Magic Barrier, Green Blossom, Power Within, etc.). As long as it's active it's not possible to cast other Self Buffs and vice versa.
- This pyromancy's effectiveness has been severely reduced since patch 1.05.

Needs confirmation: in the original release of DS, Iron Flesh pyromancy made you invulnerable to the Four Kings Boss's grab attack. Does this still work in DSR?

So there's no way to get this if Laurentius already went hollow? Dumb question I know
