Large Club is a Weapon in Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered.
Large wooden club."
"The giant Undead of Blighttown wield these clubs, which became poisonous from the influence of their surroundings."
How to Get / Where to Find the Large Club
- Drops from club wielder Infested Barbarian (2% Chance - Blighttown).
Notes:
- Give to Frampt to receive 50 souls.
- Special: Has the Poison Auxiliary effect
- Special: Two-handed R2 attack causes Knockdown
- Buffing this weapon with Rotten Pine Resin will not double its poison power, since they don't stack, but it will double the build-up power. This means that only half the amount of attacks is needed to inflict the poison status, compared to a unbuffed version.
- Good damage, good reach and a good roll attacks. Slightly lower damage and shorter range than the Great Club but has better one-handed strong attack and poison auxiliary effect.
- Unlike the Great Club this weapon has a poison auxiliary effect.

AR to weight ratio, this is probably the second-best strength weapon in the game. Great club matches it well, but that one-handed heavy attack... it sweeps me off my feet.

This is the best weapon in all souls games, for PvP and PvE.

Poison is complete crap in DS since it takes bunch of hits to apply and eats enemy HP very slowly.
Toxin is a bit bit better but still ony bleed auxiliary effect really does it's job and it's worth considering since bleed does instant dmg based on target's max HP.
Poison is actually usefull only in cheesy tactics for killing certains enemies (arrows, mist etc) but it completely sucks in normal combat both PvE and PvP.
More to say with big weapon like this club you will kill most enemies before they'll even get the chance to get poisoned. So when you're looking for weapon consider damage and moveset but ignore poison effect because it's useless anyway.

That one handed strong attack is amazing.
Idk if this is just me, and you can take this for a good or a bad thing, but I've never actually seen anyone ever get poisoned by this weapon.
I do kill stuff very quickly and one shot most non bosses with the R2, but I first leveled up the weapon bc I thought it would make some cheesey strats possible.
Can't say I'm disappointed though, it just kills stuff too quick.

I think this weapon may actually be broken, i am able to one shot every enemy which isnt a boss using the two handed r2, bosses become target practice and ive stopped finding the game fun-its just ridiculous.

Accidentally killed Andre in my first play through before Sen’s. Didn’t get to experience the pure joy of +15 anything, let alone this beauty. Had to over level to compensate for lack of good weapon options until I got some black knight weapons. Now I’m rolling through NG+ like it’s a victory lap
