Mail Breaker is a Weapon in Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered.
Standard small thrusting sword. Unsharpened but pointed solid shaft can pierce tough armour"
"Can be thrust using the weight of one's body, and is very effective for critical attacks."
How to Get / Where to Find the Mail Breaker
- First room on the right where the first group of Undead Thieves come out in lower Undead Burg
Hints and tips:
- Give to Frampt to receive 50 souls.
- One of the lightest weapons in the with some daggers and fist weapons.
- Has a slightly higher critical modifier than the other Piercing Swords, but its AR being significantly lower on any upgrade path will result in less damage dealt for both regular attacks and critical hits.
- Also shorter than other Piercing Swords.
- Overall, its characteristics make it similar to a dagger in term of use cases.
- Demon's souls version: Different in appearance but similar in move set.
- The Dark Souls 3 version of this weapon is instead a dagger using thrust attacks.

Same off-hand quick speed parry and off-hand attack speed as a normal rapier, at only a weight of 0.5. Definitely has my vote for a good off-hand weapon, and beats the more humdrum parrying dagger, and it looks neat too... Not as all gray as plain old rapier.
If you can shoulder the +1 extra weight of the rapier, then go ahead and use the rapier, but remember not to laugh at the guy using this when he is parrying with this, and poking you with it, then riposting you since he didn't break your poise, while looking fancy.

Despite what everyone else says Mail Breaker is a good weapon for its weight class. 0.5 weight makes a huge difference between fast and medium rolling and the fast attacks, high crit, and shield poke makes this weapon very viable for a sidearm to slow and heavy weapons. It's main competition is the Dagger which has a more versatile moveset and can be used with no Dex investment but has no shield poke.
Best to make it Lightning/Chaos most of the time or +15 if you're using Leo Ring.
A thrusting sword that is just as small as, and does less damage than basically any dagger.
