The Notched Whip is easily one of the worst weapons in the game. It's moveset is slow and predictable, its damage is minimal, and its bleeding effect is negligible at best. It takes too long to cause any amount of meaningful bleeding damage - if you're looking for a good bleeding weapon, look elsewhere.
For a truly effective build, you should instead rely on the Broken Straight Sword. While the Notched Whip deals low damage and takes a long time to kill, the Broken Straight Sword has an incredibly fast moveset and high damage output. While it doesn't cause bleed damage, its high damage is more than enough to compensate. Plus, the Broken Straight Sword can be upgraded to deal even more damage.
With a high-damage, fast-hitting weapon like the Broken Straight Sword, you can easily destroy any enemy in front of you. In addition, the weapon's low weight makes it great for builds with light armor or spells.
The Broken Straight Sword is superior to the Notched Whip in almost every way, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking to dominate the game.
