This baby has greatest DPS in whole game. Why? It's not that damage looks that high... Cause DPS mean Damage Per Second. In other words not only damage count but how fast you can deal it. And Painting Guardian Sword turns you ino dancing meat slicing fan.
How to upgrade it?
If you are pure INT build go for Enchanted +5 since it's the only weapon with S scalling for this stat.
But if you are INT/DEX, FAI/DEX, STR/DEX or pure DEX Regular +15 is the ONLY TRUE option especially if you can buff it with something since weapon buffs give damage per hit (faster the weapon greater the damage and this one is fast).
Other builds? Go for elemental (chaos/fire/lightning) or pick something else as weapon.
So good to be true? Yeah PGS has one minor problem - short range. So you have to get close to unleash flurry of quick slicing attacks and then get out before you are hit. Timing, positioning and stamina control are important. Also it works better with low equip load and that means lesser stability and protection. Learning this strategy takes some time and requires more skill than wearing Havel's stuff and smashing things with some mega big bonk.
Ah yes. PGS also looks a bit ugly compared to other swords.

I'm gonna start a new game with a mainly dex build, what should I use until I get this?
The combination of bleeding and good damage output compare to other curve swords is what makes it an awesome weapon to enchant. With the help of the darkmoon blade buff or the

So I have a "pure" faith build with 50 faith and I have 20 dex to use this sword, the questions is, should I infuse it with occult or divine?

This weapon is almost the perfect dex build weapon. It weighs nothing, hits fast and it deals amazing damages (it's even worse with the Sunlight Blade buff). It has only one weakness : its range.

I think this weapon might have the highest DPS in the game.

the bit that mentions this being a weaker falchion is just flat out false. in no scenario does this weapon do less damage than the falchion. on a pure dex build or even quality build this weapon will out damage any other curved sword in the game in terms of non-split AR at 40 dex
Think I missed something. .. is there a point to boosting this to Enchanted +5? The stats say it gives a S boost to INT, but the sword doesn't use INT, so why bother? *confused*
normal +15 or crystal +5 which one is stronger?
