Player Trade in Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered is conducted by dropping items for another player during multiplayer sessions. Since there is no direct trade accept option, be mindful that players may drop you items you did not ask for, or take your items and not fulfill their part of the deal.
There have also been issues in other games where players drop hacked items for others, getting the player who picked the item up inadvertently banned from the servers for hacking. If you want to organize trade, we recommend you use our Trading Subforum and get to know the people on the site and decide who is trustworthy.
What can be traded?
This list is a work in progress pending confirmation from the Dark Souls Remaster
- Souls can be transferred, even boss souls.
- Armor can be transferred with no limitations.
- Rings can be transferred except rings related to story progression i.e the Covenant of Artorias.
- Weapons/Shields can be transferred.
- Upgrade materials can be transferred.
- Covenants offerings can be transferred.
- Key Items cannot be transferred.
- Spells cannot be transferred.
Items that cannot be transferred can be dropped, but the other players won't see them.

Weapons/Shields can be transferred.
Not accurate. I created a mule char w/ a 2nd account being that DSR was on sale (again). I was not able to transfer any unique weapons or upgraded weapons. However, some boss items did transfer, specifically shields. I was also able to transfer a silver knight shield but could not do the sword or spear. The char holding the items was SL54 and the char I transferred to SL25 but had not yet collected any embers. I'm wondering if I had unlocked the embers if that would open up trading upgraded weps. Regardless I was able to transfer max craft mats so I can upgrade the items myself but some will still require some farming.

Tried to trade a Greatbow with a friend but when he dropped it to me i could not pick it up or see it for that matter, i had given him the bow + arrows from a high level character but when he tried to give it back to a low level character I could not detect the bow, The arrows worked fine and we tried with other items and all of them worked, but the bow didnt, Was it cursed or what? have anyone any tips on how to give a Silver knight Greatbow, or do you know the cause of the problem? thanks in Advance.

I'm working towards the platinum and just did my first playthrough. If anyone wants to drop their boss souls or boss weapons, I'd be more than happy to take them. It seems like you could just save your game, give up souls, reload the PS+ save and not lose anything. If that's the case, I'd be more than happy to give the souls/weapons right back. By doing this back and forth, we could probably get at least the boss weapons in one playthrough.
I just want the platinum so I can just play through the game without being forced to create specific weapons or join certain covenants.

Soo, i killed the pyro woman in blighttown to get fire surge, but i did not realize that she was the only one that can asend pyromancer flame. I then proceeded to acend the pyro flame on another account, i tried giving it to my low lvl friend so he could give it to my main account but he couls not pick it up. Is this because you can’t trade ascended pyro flame? Or somthing else...

i messed up my pyromancer. its a str based pyro using the man serpent great sword for the main weapon. soooo i got to blight town beat quealagg and went tot the covenant passed the chat too fast and said no...... not realizing i can reload the area to re answer it.......... well i killed him AND i did the same thing with the pyromancer you save. he threw out the what did you find at plus 8 i said sure and he went mad. so now i have no one to upgrade my pyro flame to 10. i made a new toon just need to transfer the souls and weapons and armor most of it not upgraded just need to beable to get my pyro flame to plus 10 lol =(.

Can upgrade materials be transferred without limit? E.g. could a soul level 6 player summon someone high level and get slabs from them or is there a limit to this?
