How to Get / Where to Find the Ricard's Rapier
Notes:
- Give to Frampt to receive 50 souls.
- Special: If you press R2 (Heavy) once, you will do the standard double thrust BUT if you press R2 (Heavy) again right after the initial attack, you will do another four very fast thrusts. Although easily parried, this is one of the more lethal unique strong attacks in the game.
- Like all piercing swords, it replaces your kick with a back-stepping horizontal slash attack.
Often used with different buffs since its strong attack can deal incredibly high damage very fast. This makes it useful for killing bosses in PvE even in high NGs and also a deadly PvP weapon when used properly.

Regular Upgrades are performed by Andre of Astora at the Undead Parish.
Regular +6 requires a regular +5 weapon and to hand in the Large Ember. Regular +11 requires a regular +10 weapon and to hand in the Very Large Ember.
Regular Reinforcement Scales 6% for Strength and 85% for
Dexterity to increase your AR.
To reach max, you need: 3,000 souls, 9 titanite shards to +5, 9 large titanite shards to +10, 7 titanite chunks to +14 and 1 titanite slab to +15
Crystal Upgrades are performed by the Giant Blacksmith at Anor Londo.
Crystal Upgrades require a regular +10 weapon and to hand in the Crystal Ember.
Crystal Reinforcement reduced weapon Durability by 10, but increases base damage. It scales 6% for Strength and 85% for
Dexterity to increase your AR.
To reach max, you need: 1,000 souls, 8 titanite chunks to +4 and 1 titanite slab to +5
Lightning Upgrades are performed by the Giant Blacksmith at Anor Londo.
Lightning Upgrades require a regular +10 weapon, but no special Ember is required.
Lightning Reinforcement removes all scaling but adds Lightning Damage.
To reach max, you need: 1,000 souls, 8 titanite chunks to +4 and 1 titanite slab to +5
Raw Upgrades are performed by Andre of Astora at the Undead Parish.
Raw Upgrades require a regular +5 weapon and to hand in the Large Ember.
Raw Reinforcement increases base damage whilst reducing stat bonuses. Scales 4% for Strength and 64% for
Dexterity to increase your AR.
To reach max, you need: 1,000 souls, 10 large titanite shards
Magic Upgrades are performed by Rickert of Vinheim, found in New Londo Ruins.
Magic Upgrade +1 requires a regular +5 weapon. Magic +6 requires a Magic +5 and to hand in the Large Magic Ember
Magic Reinforcement adds Magic Damage and an Intelligence bonus. The weapon can no longer be buffed with Magic Weapon. Scales 2% for Strength and 23% for
Dexterity and 66%
Intelligence to increase your AR.
To reach max, you need: 2,000 souls, 10 Green Titanite Shards to +5, 7 Blue Titanite Chunks to +14 and 1 Blue Titanite Slab to +15

Divine Reinforcement adds Magic Damage and Faith scaling. Scales 2% for Strength and 33% for
Dexterity and 65%

Fire Upgrades require a regular +5 weapon. Fire+6 requires a Fire+5 weapon and to hand in the Large Flame Ember.
Fire Reinforcement adds Fire Damage but removes all scaling bonuses from the weapon.

Use this as a secret weapon on my int sorcerer build. Usually start out with +5 Enchanted Rapier for close range, but If things get tough, switch this baby out and apply darkmoon Blade. Absolute Slaughter almost every time.

Poison buffs are killer as well....so the point is more thrusts to quickly poison your pvp opponent (assuming he/she doesn't have a high tolerance for poison)

The special is very nice and fun, but it takes a second to get it going (and another second for the 4x combo). Enough for trash mob to hit you and break your poise. Bosses do tend to have more recovery time after attacking so use it against them.

Is it worth infusing this with Fire or Lightning? Two handed R2 sounds like it would devastate enemies weak to the element it uses but split damage also usually sucks
