So a lot of people are claiming that this Bardiche. This is false. Bardiche is much shorter and usually with larger blade. It also is usually treated as an axe (because it's much shorter) not polearm. Though calling it a scythe is a bit too much as well

more like "the black knight halberd but if it was actually viable for pvp"

I prefer this to the Halberd in most situations. Easier to use without lock-on, less prone to striking too low, a full unit less weight for 2 less AR at 40 str/dex. Only drawbacks are that it deals slash damage and its follow-up R1s have kinda poor range.

This thing deals some ridiculous damage when buffed, and it has really good swing speed as well. If it dealt bleed damage too I'm pretty sure this might just be a top tier weapon, though it's surprisingly underused at the moment from what I can tell

Essentially a loerw stat requirement, but higher scaling, version of the standard Halberd. Surprisingly underused.

This weapons has virtually the same moveset as the black knight halberd aka BKH making it actually a very decent weapon. At +15 its buffable so can potentially out damage the BKH which is sadly not buffable. And with 9 less weight and much easier to reach stat requirements anyone who loves the BKH may want to consider this mid game especially if they missed the change to get the BKH in darkroot basin

I'm pretty sure this topic has been beaten to death, but in case you're still confused: this is actually a bardiche. A war scythe could resemble a bardiche, thus the name in DS, but the fact is, those two things aren't the same.

I'd say this is a great alternative for the BKH, plus it got a decent scaling somewhat, and you can go +15 with it
