Server is a Weapon in Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered.
A curved greatsword used in a mysterious ancient rite.
Imbued with a frightful occult energy which restores HP with each hit."
How to Get / Where to Find the Server
- Poisoned swamp at the bottom of Blighttown, in the leeches nest.
Notes:
- Give to Frampt to receive 50 souls.
- Less of a "curved greatsword" and more of a huge billhook.
- Special: This sword restores 7 HP with each successful hit.
- Since the backstab utilizes two separate hits, backstabs will heal you 14 HP, equivalent to 2 normal swings.
- Attacking enemies during their death animation will grant you 30 HP bonus after their death. Upgrading to Chaos can reduce frequency of gaining additional HP for some reason. Does not stack with the Ring of the Evil Eye!
- Upgrading the Server to Fire or Chaos will also change its description:
- "A curved greatsword used in a mysterious ancient rite.
- Imbued with a frightful heretical energy, this sword absorbs HP upon a foe's death."

I thought the moveset was ass when I first started experimenting with it, but it quickly grew on me, particularly the heavy attacks.

Has lower stat requirements and gives you health back on hits and only does a tiny bit less damage than the Murakumo but people always go for the Murakumo for some reason.
- Anonymous
I'm starting to worry that From will never add this back to dark souls...

Doesn't work bc hackers can exploit this, so From took it down. alredy used a titanite slab too fml

Been using this fire infused +10 and it’s pretty beastly. I’m not pvping at the meta tho. I’m level 80 rn. Does 514 dmg

If you have master key it takes less than five minutes to get this weapon.
I got this weapon early on in game (Along with Zweihander) so I could kill Quelaag easily with Mildred after a few tries. Epic victory.
Server has pretty low recovery per hit, but using it on crowds will net some noticeable regeneration. The curved GS moveset helps with this, since it has a few sweeping attacks with decent reach. Couple with Evil Eye if you've got a ring free for more healing.

It does stack with the ring of the evil eye in the remastered version. Can verify on ps4 version.

honestly not that powerful, it's health regain isn't that great and it's damage is abysmal considering it's requirements and weight, however it has a very powerful fashion souls factor, and I love actually upgrading it to occult, IDK it's just satisfying
- Anonymous
Ironic how this weapons is more viable than the actual server the game has.

this damn thing gave me a deja vu when i got it on my first playthrough n when i reached sen's i realized that ive seen those bastard man serpents faces somehow when i was in blight town one o my strangest their image came intoo my mind one o my strangest deja vus

Well, I'm only speculating now, but this weapon could have been inspired by a real ritual blade like for example during the traditional Vietnamese Nem Thuong (an extremely bloody festival where pigs are sacrificed). I recently saw a documentary about it and the blade used in the ritual made me think of this sword.

I love the item description, as this thing isn't even occult unless you upgrade it into an occult weapon.

This weapon is similar to Nosferatu Zodd's sword from the Berserk Series. The health regain mechanic might be a reference to Zodd's regenarative powers

Mmh, given the build of my current "leading" character, (had to buff Dexterity a bit for the Black Knight Sword), I'm seriously considering buffing it for a secondary weapon....
Infused with Lightning this becomes a great secondary weapon for Giantdad builds.

Yeah, I'd like to order a short stack of pancakes, with some bacon and eggs, and a tall glass of milk... wait, wrong kind of server. :P
- Anonymous
I tested, and since this is a different ability than ring of the evil eye, it DOES stack/work with the server
- Anonymous
Upgrading 2 chaos can reduce frequency of gaining additional HP 4 some reason... even though it’s an ‘occult’ weapon so it should be vice versa & grant the user more health. Lol

In game attack type clearly says Slash and not Regular/thrust

When they announced that DS Remastered would have "dedicated servers", this isn't what I had in mind.

Is the HP regen effect worth using this over the Murakumo? I mostly just like the looks of this more
- Anonymous
Infusing Raw seems to increase Str scaling. Considering its low Dex requirement, could be useful for very high Str builds.
- Anonymous
Little tip; DON'T Upgrade it to Crystal, it's durability is reduced to 14 and it CANNOT be repaired! (except through reinforcement).
