Small Shields in Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered are light, but also weak defensive equipment. They generally have above-average magic and elemental resistances, but their physical damage mitigation is sub-par. At present, no known Small Shield deflects 100% of incoming physical damage. These shields also have comparatively low stability; a large amount of stamina is consumed when physical attacks are blocked, leading to a higher risk of being knocked off-balance. Small Shields typically have low deflection but are much better suited for parrying than their larger brethren. Their lighter weight also makes them ideal for quick, agile characters with low equipment weight capacity.

Durability: The weapon's HP, when the durability hits 0, the effectiveness of its attacks become weakened to the point of almost useless. When an items durability is low, a message will come up saying "Weapon At Risk!" at this point the weapon does not perform at it's best.
Weight: How much the item weights when equipped.
Stability: How well the player keeps stance after being hit
Attack Type: Defines what kind of swing set the weapon has.
