Souls
Regular Souls
Items that will give you a certain amount of souls when consumed, and can be found as treasures in the different locations of the map. They are exceptionally useful, as they provide you a source of souls that won't be lost in death, and as such should be preserved for the moment right before you need them. We recommend not consuming them until you are certain you're about to purchase something either from a vendor or a level up.
(The highest soul drop multiplier possible is +72.8%. This is achieved by overkilling (dealing over 100% of an enemies max health in one hit), using Covetous Silver Serpent Ring, and Symbol of Avarice.)

Boss Souls
Souls that can either be consumed like regular souls, or used in the creation of Unique Boss Weapons. To ascend a regular weapon with a Boss Soul, the weapon must be of the respective weapon type required to create a unique weapon (e.g. to create the Moonlight Butterfly Horn, you must use either a rapier or a spear - no other class of weapon will work), and the weapon must be upgraded to 10+. Catalysts cannot be upgraded, so can be ascended by default. To create +10 weapons, you will need to obtain the Large Ember from The Depths, then give it to Andre who will be available to ascend +5 weapons. To create the Boss Soul weapons, you simply need to talk to the Giant Blacksmith in Anor Londo, who will offer the option immediately.

Is there a place where i can find a good soul item better than proud knight's early on?

I wish non-boss souls had more detailed descriptions. Like Soul of a Great Hero or Brave Warrior. I've noticed that those soul items are found in especially treacherous areas, which makes sense why they would have died there. But it feels like something was left out when the description for Soul of a Lost Undead is not that different from that of Soul of a Great Hero.

What soul do you think the chosen one (you) would have? A boss soul? Or something... lesser
(This Only Works On Boss Souls) Idk if this works on other consoles but it works on my switch. I you parry an enemy, repost then while the repost animation is going quickly use the boss soul then (after the repost animation is over) quickly use an estus from your inventory you essentially dupe the boss soul because you quire the souls but never actually use the boss soul and instead the game thinks that you used an estus.

If you think about it correctly, it is interesting that if you deal extensively with the lore and philosophy of Dark Souls, you get more insights into existence as a person and the soul than an ancient tome with a thousand pages can give you.

The description of the guardian soul is wrong. It can NOT be used to make the guardian tail. It must be cut off during the fight.
My friend supposably has found a soul that gives you 1000000 souls in ds1. He said he fell at the begging of blight town throe "the deeps" and fell and ended in a ledge with the souls. I have played this game for +100 hours and i haven't ever heard about this. Any ideas?
