Thief Set is an Armor Set in Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered.
Thief Set Information
Mask of sinners. They hide their faces, stifle their voices and hide in the shadows. It does not provide much in the way of defense.
This armor is made of smooth black leather is extremely quiet, a good thing for those who hide in the shadows. The leather itself is thick, offering a decent level of protection.
Location
- Default equipment for the Thief class.
- Lower Undead Burg: found in a room with the second set of Hollow thieves.

Notes:
- Thief Set can be upgraded by using Titanite Shard (to +3), Large Titanite Shard (to +6), Titanite Chunk (to +9) and Titanite Slab (to +10).
- The look of this set differs slightly depending on the gender of the character.

Boots full upgrade value is wrong in phisical defense. It says 3.15, when the correct is 31.5

Always really liked this set. Not super flashy and fits the world well.
I'm on my first playthrough. Chose Deprived. Got this kinda by accident while I was stumbling around Lower Undead Burg desperately trying to survive. I like it. Nothing special I know. But... still cool. And looks good.
Benefits of upgrading are lost on me... more is good? Still, so much I don't get.

There's quite a few differences between the male and female versions of this set, one of the few examples of gender specific clothing in Dark Souls 1. The male version's mask has a hood 'n scarf over it, and overall it appears a bit more armored and "layered", while the female version is a lot sleeker with a more trim appearance under the brown half-cloak and jet black form fitting leather pants and boots. The mask is just a face mask, hair is exposed.

When I pick up the set in Lower Undead Burg, I get the mask without the hood. Is this normal and is there any way to get the mask with the hood?
I`ve been doing some tests , looks like 2 armor = 1 dmg reduction.
So to mitigate 100 dmg you need 200 armor or smth.
