Ultra Greatswords are a Weapon Category in Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered. Ultra Greatswords are heavy weapons and require a considerable strength investment to wield. Their swings are slow but far-reaching, wide and extremely powerful, capable of stunning enemies caught in the hit. Ultra Greatsword users can therefore perform several stun-lock combos, missing an attack however leaves the wielder wide open for enemy retaliation. This weapon class has the highest physical damage reduction and stability when used for blocking incoming hits.

I made a suicide run on my first playthrough against the black knight in the undead burg. I was lucky he dropped the BKGS and that thing carried me through the entire game. I only swapped to the BKGA for Gwyn 'cause it was faster.

Ultra Greatswords should be impossible to parry
Imagine someone with a dagger parrying these huge swords that could crush them in 1 hit through the thickest of armors
But their scrawny hand is somehow safe?
Toggle Escapes also make these swords obsolete (one of the many glitches of this game)

BKGA is better than BKGS, it hits faster and takes less stamina to hit, along with it doing more damage.

estou bem no começo do jogo, estou nas catacumbas na parte da tumba dos gigantes e eu uso muito a Zweihander+5 pois consigo derrotar inimigos gigantes com 2 golpes cara, 2 GOLPES, to gostando muito do jogo inclusive..
I was able to use Zweihander early in my most recent playthrough, best idea of my life. Gargoyles were EZ PZ

Why is it that i cant use the greatsword properly with one hand, but the stone greatsword works like a charm? I have 40 strength on my character.

my bf plays too much and he doesn't give me attention an he gets mad when he plays it and he dies a lot oh and dont forget he gets mean when he dies OH AND HE DOESNT LISTEN TO ME WHEN I SPEAK.

These weapons are surprisingly good. Especially for players who would rather end fights quickly with heavy swings and high poise damage. But slow swings mean that pvp players run circles around them, and sometimes there's openings you need fast swings to exploit. Also they leave YOU open for quite a bit.

The difference in the black knight great sword and the black knight sword is speed you can guess which one is faster
