| Unique Upgrade does not increase parameter bonus per upgrade level. It has a maximum upgrade to +5 that increases Base Damage with superiority than that of the regular weapons in terms of the damage output. |
Unique Upgrades are a type of Upgrade in Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered. They enable players to "Ascend" weapons and shields in a specific path.
Unique Upgrades path and Requirements:
Unique Upgrades for weapon are performed by all blacksmiths, or with the Weapon Smithbox.
Note that each upgrade level requires 
Twinkling Titanite or 
Demon Titanite. or 
Dragon Scales and a number of soul that varies depending on the weapon.
For Demon Upgrade:
- Upgrade from +0 to +5 requires 10 Demon Titanite.
For Twinkling Titanite Upgrade:
- Upgrade from +0 to +5 requires 10 Twinkling Titanite.
For Dragon Scale Upgrade:
- Upgrade from +0 to +5 requires 10 Dragon Scales.
Demon Upgrade from 0 to +5
- Upgrade from 0 to +1 requires 1 Demon Titanite.
- Upgrade from +1 to +2 requires 1 Demon Titanite.
- Upgrade from +2 to +3 requires 2 Demon Titanite.
- Upgrade from +3 to +4 requires 2 Demon Titanite.
- Upgrade from +4 to +5 requires 4 Demon Titanite.
Twinkling Titanite Upgrade From +0 to +5
- Upgrade from 0 to +1 requires 1 Twinkling Titanite.
- Upgrade from +1 to +2 requires 1 Twinkling Titanite.
- Upgrade from +2 to +3 requires 2 Twinkling Titanite.
- Upgrade from +3 to +4 requires 2 Twinkling Titanite.
- Upgrade from +4 to +5 requires 4 Twinkling Titanite.
Dragon Scale Upgrade from +0 to +5
- Upgrade from 0 to +1 requires 1 Dragon Scale.
- Upgrade from +1 to +2 requires 1 Dragon Scale.
- Upgrade from +2 to +3 requires 2 Dragon Scales.
- Upgrade from +3 to +4 requires 2 Dragon Scales.
- Upgrade from +4 to +5 requires 4 Dragon Scales.
