Wanderer Starting Equipment

Notes About This Class

  • While it may appear to be a Dexterity-focused class at first glance, the extra points in Intelligence and Attunement means the Wanderer is better suited for combining sorcery with fast Dexterity weapons than it would be for focusing on any one stat. Great Magic Weapon or Crystal Magic Weapon are the spells to keep in mind here, as are weapons like the Balder Side Sword.
  • Its scimitar and weak shield make starting out with this class a fair bit more difficult than it would be with other ones like the Warrior or Knight.

Builds That Use This Class

  • With 50 Vitality, 16 Attunement, 40 Endurance, 40 Dexterity, and 32 Intelligence, the Wanderer can use the powerful Tin Crystallization Catalyst to cast Crystal Magic Weapon on a Balder Side Sword. This is a very powerful setup, which means you should expect your opponent to try dodging and running until your spell wears off. Which is why you have 40 Dexterity, so your weapon still does enough damage even without the buff. That said, if you can manage to hit a fleeing opponent or just find someone overconfident enough to try, you'll shred them quickly and with little effort.

I feel like this is the class suits the nameless undead the most balanced melee-magic and it has the only non-npc armor in the game.

This class is actually pretty good for a STR/INT build as well. It allows you to use Greatswords without having to put any points into DEX and you start out with more points in ATT and INT than you would with the Warrior. Only downside is having to pump points into STR right at the start of the game in order to use STR-focused weapons.
