Winged Spear is a Weapon in Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered.
A long-hilted spear with a barbed point. Long reach, and can be used with shield up. Effective against hard exteriors, and hits for high damage at the right moment of an enemy's swing. But the hit radius is small, and it is easily blocked by shields."
How to Get / Where to Find the Winged Spear
Firelink Shrine graveyard.
Hints and tips:
- Give to Frampt to receive 50 souls.
- A Spear, but better. Longer and deals more damage in every way, but requires better stats and benefits much less from Strength.
- Snatch it early from the graveyard to get a great starter weapon for a Dex class.

Spears alongside with clubs are the peak of melee weapons. Easy to make, resource friendly, easy to use and master, easy to repair, cool, many variants and keeps you out of harms reach. The spear is the biggest possible "f*ck you" to anyone trying to hurt you since they can't even f*cking reach you but you can poke their sh*t all the way. Such a good weapon, you can two-hand it or pair it with a shield and you're suddenly even more invincible. If you get a bunch of homies together with the same setup you just invented the epitome of melee warfare strategy. Oh whats that you suck ass and let the enemy within range of you? Then you take out that handy-dandy club and bonk their **** since it dont matter if they got armor on that bonk is gonna buckle their sh*t in and smash their brains or femur. The club is what we humans used before we sharpened the pointy stick. The club is the most effective weapon both then and today, gtfo of my face with that knife or pistol the club is gonna wreck you before you can flick it open or reload that mag. Plus you can carry a baseball bat for legit reasons (or so they think) but having a gun or knife on you is gonna make you look like the bad guy but not if you club someone down, as the club hurts as hell and is lethal as hell but only if you aim for the head if you dont you can incapacitate anyone without lethal recourse. Plus the club is like the spear in all ways except the reach and even that can be rectified if you make it long but heavy. Plus clubs is the best and coolest suit of cards. Now go make a winged spear and club build.
at which stength level does the Stat Modifier bonus from Strength of the normal spear outweigh the natural damage advantege of the winged spear?

i cant get this thing to do any damage, as a +0 mace does more dps than this at +6. I have 30/30 str and dex

Really good for pve imo. You can use it with your shield up, has very good range, is fast and costs little stamina. Has decent damage too (at +15 it passes the dps test on the four kings). Its really useful for dispatching those annoying dps enemies with low health like painting guardians, dogs and hollows. Definitely try it :)

I Think this weapon is the best starter weapon next to the Rapier/Estoc. If you really get used to fighting from range(the range at which spear wielding enemies start sidestepping), You will quicky and easily kill many early enemies. It will be hard to go back to normal sword range when you can hit people from roll distance/2 bodies away. It doesnt hit as hard as the Halberd or Claymore, but this weapons strengths are Range, Speed, and Stamina Conservation. You can also attack and defend at the same time. the benefits outweigh the cons. Its also better than the Halberd because you dont stagger if you miss the enemy. Recommended for all beginners hehe

Come on, there is a typo on the table there. Lightning Spear with fire damage? That's one hell of a mistake.
