Pursuers is a Sorcery in Dark Souls. To cast a sorcery, you must use a Catalyst or Special Weapons that can cast Sorceries

Sorcery of Manus, Father of the Abyss. Grant a fleeting will to the Dark of humanity, and volley the result.
The will feels envy, or perhaps love, and despite the inevitable trite and tragic ending, the will sees no alternative, and is driven madly towards its target.

Usage

  • Ranged Attack
  • Similiar to Homing Soul Mass where 5 orbs are summoned around you until triggered
  • The projectiles of Pursuers move slower than Soulmass, but have greatly enhanced tracking capabilities in comparison. It will follow sidestepping targets and actively pursue them, as the name suggests.
  • Even upon dodging Pursuers they will turn around and continue after the target.
  • Silver Pendant does not deflect pursuers but simply holds them at bay while the Silver Pendant barrier is up.
  • Casting speed to summon Pursuers is about twice as long as summoning Homing soul masses.

Acquired From

Notes

  • Dark Sorceries deal a combination of physical and magic damage. The magic damage is determined by the INT scaling of your catalyst (as with normal sorceries), and the physical damage is determined by the STR and DEX scaling of your catalyst.
  • This extra physical damage is not shown on your catalyst, and is a hidden stat.
  • Two-handing the catalyst does not increase the physical damage of Dark Sorceries.
  • The Intelligence required for this spells means it will always create five orbs.

Great for bosses / minibosses / single big guys. As far as PvP goes if your opponent has any brain cells he will simply roll away from spell range cause pursuers projectiles move slow and won't follow him far. Both soulmasses are better against players since they'll have much smaller time window to avoid damage.

In Notes: "The Intelligence required for this spells means it will always create five orbs." What the hell is that supposed to mean? lmao

A fearsome spell with nearly unparalleled destructive potential..........until you take a dozen steps back and watch it disappear into thin air lmao. Crystal Homing Soulmass is a much better spell than this. It's faster, has over three times the amount of casts, and takes up only one attunement slot instead of two. The somewhat better tracking on Pursuers no way makes up for all of its deficiencies.

While they running from this spell chase them down with black flame, the poise damage followed by the orbs hitting will do massive damage. Please be respectable and only perform this technique when ganked...

I can’t really understand why this one has twice the requirement as dark bead because it’s slower cast and slower speed which is quite easy to avoid

Just thought of something : TWOP into this spell with a glass cannon build. If the silver pendant soul spear.

If you cast them before a summoned invader appears (e.g. Dragon Covenant) the invader will not be able to see them but will take full damage. I'm never using this myself, but I thought I'd let people know here. If you get 1 shot by seemingly nothing while dueling and wondered what that was, here's your answer.

Anyone else notice this spell appearing normally but doing instant damage to you if far away when invaded?
