Balder Set is an Armor Set in Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered.
Balder Set Information
Helm/Armor/Gauntlets/Leggings-Apparel worn by the knights of the ancient kingdom of Balder. It is made from thick iron plates.
Balder was the homeland of the Knight King Rendal, but it came to ruin after a great many Undead were spawned.
Location
- Rare drop from Balder Knights.
- Purchased from Crestfallen Merchant (23,000 Souls total).
Notes
- Balder Set can be upgraded by using Titanite Shard (to +3), Large Titanite Shard (to +6), Titanite Chunk (to +9) and Titanite Slab (to +10).

it really sucks there's no way to get an undamaged balder knight armor anywhere. This set with the helmet and all would probably look really good if it wasn't torn to pieces

Like how whereas it looks cool in the Balder Knights themselves, it looks like goofy-ahh Slut Knight armour when you wear it

Amazing how goofy this thing looks when you wear it compared to how it looks on the Balder Knights, Might be because they're emaciated skeletal hollows who've completely lost their identity and minds though unlike you

It's best to obtain the whole set early on by farming the knights, however tedious, because it's pretty much your average armor once you can purchase it halfway through the game. It also seems to be the best gear in terms of physical defense prior to obtaining the Elite Knight set. Looks cool, but the inexplicably short cape still looks awful in the remaster, probably just as bad as in the original game.

Seems surprisingly good at +10, thought i wouldn't waste some slabs on it so it would use it at +9, would would still be more than proficient also very light

STILL doesn't have a cape (or cloth physics in general) in the remaster.

I like how in the image it displays the entire cape, but when when equipped it doesn’t show. Disappointments in the air!

This gear is considered to be a reference to Guts from Berserk so the crack in the Balder armor could be a reference of the fight against him against Bazuso. Bazusos axe had a crack. Or this crack is meant to be caused by the axe.
This is supposed to be based on Guts first armor, however.. they kinda missed the pants
