Why is there 2 Sif great swords? I have one that is not cursed but says it kills ghosts in its description. And after testing it, it does kill ghosts. So what is the difference? Is there even a cursed version? I have the great shield, the great sword (doesn’t have cursed in title) and the abyss great sword. I’m wondering if you guys have this labeled wrong

Non of these weapons are good for me beside the shield and dex sword ( irony I started out as a dex build built into miracles for extra healing and int for basic magic damage to save arrows and build into Strength alway up to I got a sliver sword. I hate slow and stamina drainers

in blood I used beast shiv and whip / beast cutter but used only the whip as my main weapon. ( just as exmple) so I hate slow but use it for annoying emeries looking At you mimic/ giant skelie boys who can’t see without forfeiting my shield.

if you look closely, you will see that the left half of the abyss greatsword looks exactly the same as the regular greatsword of artorias, while the second half is reminiscent of the cursed artorias greatsword. just thought this was a really neat easter egg.

For those who want to get every boss soul weapon: It will take at least 3 playthroughs. Here's a list of everything you'll need:

3 straight swords
2 spears
2 shields
2 catalysts
1 curved sword
1 katana
1 fist weapon
1 axe
1 hammer
1 broken sword
1 bow
1 halberd
153 titanite shards
153 large titanite shards
3 souls of Sif
2 souls of The Moonlight Butterfly, Quelaag, Iron Golem, and Gwyndolin
1 soul of Ornstein, Smough, Priscilla, Gwyn, Manus, and Artorias

Some tips:
• You can revert weapons that drop from mimics, specifically the Lightning Spear, Occult Club, and Enchanted Falchion, to take 36 titanite shards and 18 large titanite shards off the total. Since you have to do multiple playthroughs, you should revert the lightning spear twice.
• Since soul gain increases on NG cycles, but store prices do not, farming should be done on the second or third playthrough to minimize the time spent farming. I recommend buying the large titanite shards from the giant blacksmith in Anor Londo, which will cost a total of nearly 600k souls.
• Don't farm for small titanite shards. Farm for green titanite shards, and feed them to Frampt. The leeches in Blighttown can drop 5 green titanite shards at once, and each green titanite shard can be broken down into 5 small titanite shards by Frampt.

It's quite a grind, but hey, the weapons are pretty darn cool. Hope this helps someone!

if you use the soul glitch with humanity and give yourself 99 humanity makes this weapon do up to 400 basic damage, can do 800/1000 backstab

Sanctuary Guardian's soul is only used for obtaining souls (12,000) and does not have a weapon you can create from it.

The Taurus Demon doesn't have a boss soul, and it's weapon, the Demon's Greataxe, is a drop chance of I believe around 5%, you can farm the Taurus Demon's in Demon Ruins for a chance to get it.

Ok... I have many weapons and shields at 10+ with all the souls from the bosses in my inventory. The giant is only showing to make things Crystal in Modify Equipment and Reinforce Weapons shows nothing at all besides everything under my 10+ upgraded items. Can someone help me with this?

I killed Andre in undead parish by accident ...is there really no other way to get one of the base weapons to 10+ now? ......I have black knight sword and halberd to fall back on ..but I don't want to restart this play through cause I have had very good luck on drops so far ....but now can't get them passed 5+ ?

Do not upgraded boss weapons count as +5 (since they are unique weapons), or as +10 (since you need +10 weapon to make one)? For example if someone dropped me a boss weapon while I'm still at +5 weapon matchmaking would I still be considered +5? This is purely speculative... Keh heh heh heh heh.

Is there a glitch on the remastered version, cause I’ve found the large ember given it to Andre but still can’t upgrade past +5 any tips cause I saved up all the boss souls I’ve got so far with making boss weapons for in mind

Such a shame that most of the boss soul weapons in DS1 are a joke due to most of them having split damage, crappy/no scaling, or awful movesets (or in the case of Great Lord Greatsword, all of the above).

Only ones really worth pursuing are Chaos Blade, Great Scythe, and if you're going for NG+ and beyond, Cursed GS of Artorias is good for New Londo and regular GS of Artorias is good for Catacombs due to it being classed as a divine weapon.

I guess you could make a case for Moonlight butterfly horn for a mid-level INT-pure. Everything else is pretty much garbage.
