Creating your own PvP build is primarily about stats, equipment and spells. The variety encourages you to try different styles.
How to create a survey for your build
- Create an account on Survey Monkey:.
- Create a survey (Anemone theme) and after you click "Send" at the bottom, choose "Embed in Website". Customize to show immediate results and set the size to 300 x 300.
- Edit the build page and "Add a Widget" > Other HTML, then paste the code from the survey.

Ok. I'll give you all a helping hand. If you want to really learn how to PVP, you should make a build with a high level character, MIN: level 80 / MAX: no more than 150 (maybe 200, depends if you are playing PTED or Remaster). Anything more than that will make you too powerful , too OP (and so you will kill as a result of your power and not of your skill).
- Learn how to BS (Backstabs): for better or for worse this is a game of paper, scissors and Bs's. Learn to read your rival and attempt Predictive Parries (even if you fail, get the timing of the parries - different from PVE)
- Don't use Magic or Miracles (with these you usually win with One Shot, is too OP, and then you don't learn)
- Don't use OP bad weapons (all you learn from them is how to spam) I mean: Goldtracer, Orthanc Spear, Demon Spear, etc
- Fast roll. Don't use too many pieces of armor. Your poise should be MIN: 20 / MAX: around 30 (no more than that... because if you have a lot of poise then you won't learn Toggle Escape).
- Learn the Good Weapons: 1) Claymore, if you master the claymore, you can master any weapon in the game. So that makes the claymore the best weapon in the game... then you can try the rest.
- Don't do anything cheap and don't cheat... learn to lose. Being vulnerable is your best teacher. You'll die a lot, but you will learn eventually.

Of all the builds I've ever tried the sorceromancer is my favorite. I pvp at lvl 60. I'm keeping the specifics proprietary but I'll share some things.
- Poise is 56 but mid roll (rather be able to finish casting a spell and not get staggered than be nimble because fire tempest works best when swarmed).
- high vitality to be tankish
- Crown of Dusk and bellowing dragoncrest ring
- Crystal magic weapon
- Dark bead
- Homing crystal soulmass
- Fire tempest
- Black Flame
- Balder Side Sword
- Crest Shield
This is a naaaasty build that can wipe out an opponent in just a few seconds (I show no mercy if they are summoning or have help already). This also has several different play styles, you can go pyro and also use Chaos Fireball or you can go ranged magic (use against peeps with weapons that hit harder than 56 poise) or you can do combat with the balder side sword. It's great to keep people guessing, especially if you have invaded them before. With the three playstyles or possibly even more there really isn't a weakness to the build and you can even get lucky if ganked by using a well timed fire tempest. I've wiped out 3 players at once before.

if you want to git gud and go against competent opponents you need a good build. here is a basic one for anybody trying to get into the PvP
-starting class warrior
- head mask of the mother
- chest knight armor
- hands knight gauntlets
- legs hollow soldier waistcloth
- left hand 1 heater shield
- right hand 1 claymore
- left hand 2 ascended pyromancy flame
- right hand 2 dark silver tracer
- rings fap ring and hornet ring. aim to be able to hard swap between hornet wolf dark wood grain ring.
- 2 pyromancies. black flame and fire surge.
if you want to use the rapier instead of the dark silver tracer you can but the rapier doesnt have a kick so i lean towards the tracer. up to personal preference.
-tips. 1hr2 from the claymore is good on wakeup and 2hr2 is really good if you clank into a wall must abuse standstill though. claymore 2h rolling r1 is very strong option in alot of situations. backstab damage should be great 2 backstabs should = a win. kick -> blackflame is a true combo with the 45 dex. since the build runs low poise you need to be able to toggle escape which is why the dark silver tracer is there its for the toggle escape -> backstab. you can also have heater out and toggle -> black flame. black flame does 60 poise damage so if you see a have mom great club they will be able to poise through it. fire surge is invisible if you tap cast it and get 1 surge projectile out at a time good finisher. holding back and holding fire surge makes it 100% impossible to get backstabbed.
