Build Strategy
Pros
- High vitality
- Ability to wear almost any armor
- Variety in elemental weapons
- Various pyromancies
Cons
- no access to miracles or sorceries
- no access to weapon buffs (except Obs. Gsword)
This is my fav setting, but really you can use anything, make as many different weapons as you like to test everything so you dont get bored playing the same wep over and over.
IMHO, it is really important to have more than one shield. I mostly use the Grass Crest Shield (for obv reasons). try to set them in your inventory for quick change in combat, or in general...
-Grass Crest Shield; for stamina hungry players (default shield)
-Silver Knight Shield; Excelent bulk with 76 Stability, offers the best Lightning reduction and still allows you to parry
-Black Knight Shield; Perfect Fire resist, against those Great Combustion spammers, just block and punish.
-Crest Shield; excellent Magic reduction if you have trouble against mage builds and want to block their spells
You can also use light shields such as the Target Shield and feel comfortable with parrying
You dont have to use a bow, but if you do...Short Bow, light and fast you can dish out a few HPs out of your opponents. Also you dont feel powerless against players that space too much like casters.
If you feel like it, dual wield. with a quick weapon like Uchigatana you can parry, buffer a hit with it (If your enemy has the poise to tank it) and go for the riposte. with a Winged Spear in your RH it offers good melee coverage.
Wanderer for light weight and really good overall defenses, Black iron Set (arms, legs) for poise, fire resist, excellent phys def and acceptable weight. The head is up to you, I normally use the Snickering Top Hat 'cause I like it. Helm of Thorns still looks cool and gives rolling damages + staggers enemies with no poise at all.
You can do whatever the heck you want, go with a faster build with katanas of standard 1H swords, forget the havel ring for hornet, Red Tstone, DWGRing...
Dark Set is quite good too, prvides medium armor and does not impede stamina regen! Mess around and find your own setup :D
Pyromancies
-Black Flames (1)
-G. Chaos Fireball (2)
Fire surge is also a good option here, or even Firestorm. Dont forget Power Within, it may be your only "buff" for increased dmg.
ITEMS: Flask/Humanity, Green Blossom, Poison Throwing Knives, anything.
Hope you like it. Enjoy your SL81-90 character. dont forget to bow, don't gank, dont get mad, you will get lagstabbed and experience weird, laggy deaths, but who cares you only lose 1 Humanity, you'll get it back on the next invader ;)
