Build Equipment

• Right hand : Abyss Greatsword / Greatsword of Artorias / Greatsword of artorias (cursed)
• Left hand : Naked Hand / Greatshield of artorias / Clensing shield
• Rings : Covenant of artorias / wolf ring
• Armor : Set of artorias that you buy from Domhnall of Zena after you beat Knight artorias in the DLC
• Items: Silver pendant

Build Strategy

Roll-playing as  Sir Artorias. a holy warrior with an unbendable will of steel and unmatched skill with a greatsword.

This build is for the Abyss Sword that you get from the Soul of artorias since getting both the greatshield AND the Greatsword of artorias is imposible in NG because you get them from the soul of sif. 

You have to strictly use the abyss sword with your right hand since artorias got his left arm broken fighting the abyss and protecting sif.
if you want to be the "full" Artorias and not the abyss cursed one you either wait till NG+ and get 2 souls of sif to get the Divine greatsword of artorias AND the shield. or you ask a friend to give you the other one.

Since getting both Greatsword of artorias and the greatshield of artorias in the same run is imposible due to both weapons are boss weapons made with the soul of siff you have to choose one. 
you could either use othe abyss sword only and rollplay artorias after being swallowed by the abyss.
or you could use the greatsword of artorias (cursed) with the clensing shield.

Also i want to note that if you want to use other rings (even when it breaks the roll-playing aspect of the build, i can't actually stop you from doing whatever you want) the artorias set has a fair amount of poise on his own and using the Havel Ring and Ring of Favor and Protection will allow you to be fast rolling at 36 endurance. without the F&P ring you will need 51.

The rest of the points go wherever you want to, i like to put points in resistance to max out the amount of damage i can sustain. And thats it, with 40 vit you have like 1800 hp and with 36 end you have 180 stamina.

The Sword of the abyss scales with STR 55%/DEX 55%  and has no scaling with INT nor FAI

the Greatsword of artorias scales with STR 55% / DEX 55% / INT 85% / FAI 85% (with this sword you should dump more point into faith and int since it does divine and magic damage) 

The Cursed greatsword of artorias supposedly  scales 60% in STR DEX INT and FAI.  but does not actually scales with them only with STR and DEX and does not deal occult damage.  I strongly advice in getting the other one. 

If starting with the Knight class you have one attunement slot, with this build you will have enough INT to cast some minor sorceries (even if I do not recommend it because i never hear of artorias casting sorceries, i guess From gave artorias 18 INT to show that he was smart) And enough Faith to cast various Miracles.
