This crest opens a door in the Darkroot Garden sealed by ancient magic.

The door leads to the grave of Sir Artorias the Abysswalker. Many adventurers have left for the grave, but none have returned, for they make easy prey for local bandits. With such dangers, the crest can do more harm than good in the hands of the uninitiated

Crest of Artorias is a Key in Dark Souls.

 

Crest of Artorias Usage

  • This crest unlocks the magically sealed door in Darkroot Garden.
  • This area also has two other entrances, which makes the crest optional. There's a convenient Bonfire beside the gate. Go past the Hydra and up the ladders for the second entrance, cross the stone bridge and find the third entrance through Alvina's tower.

      It's optional, but I do recommend buying it. Once the door is open, it sets up a nice spot for soul farming the spirit NPCs. Plus it sets up an easier run to Sif.

        This page is written very poorly.

        The crest is optional, this area has two other entrances

        That **convenient bonfire** bit should NOT be in the paragraph about 2 alternate entrances. If it was simply moved to the first bullet point it would have saved me a lot of trouble lol.

          What can you do with crest after its used? Can you sell it or frempt or snuggly?? Or do we just keep for the good memories
