Gestures are emotes in Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered. Performing these actions allows players to convey their feelings to other players or NPCs. Some gestures are available from the start of the game, while others must be unlocked by learning them from NPCs. Use Triangle / Y to equip and arrange gestures at the menu.
On the Playstation 3 version of the game, you can hold the X button and use the Six-Axis controller to perform gestures. Also you can press SELECT and the gesture menu will pop up, then highlight the gesture you want and press X or A for PlayStation and Xbox respectively.
- WARNING: When you are using a gesture you cannot move/attack until the gesture is finished, use at your own peril.

Praise the Sun is the only gesture that will be impossible to get for many characters. That's because interacting with atlar requires 25 Faith or killing at least 5 bosses as a summoned white phantom. And ppl prefer co-op summoning for pvp rather than fighting bosses.

Can you unlock gestures another way? i have seen the NPCs die because of the stupid ai of many enemies, thus i will never learn new gestures:/

I am not given the 'praise the sun' gesture. It just doesn't present the option to learn it. I have only 11 faith btw.

Always surprised me how DS3s point down became the most infamous when this games version is so much more insulting the way you repeatedly do it. DS3 just genuinely looks like your showing someone something on the floor I never was able to get any bad vibes from it

Should put how to open the menu itself for idiots like me who couldn't figure it out for 20 min... its left side of the touch pad

Praise the sun and Well! What is it? are the best gestures and no one can convince me otherwise.

Where’s the “curl up into a ball” and “lay down” gestures? They’re good for hiding in certain scenery when invaded(ing).
