Dragonslayer Greatbow is a Greatbow weapon in Dark Souls and Dark Souls Remastered.
"Bow of the Dragonslayers, led by Hawkeye Gough, one of Gwyn's Four Knights.
This bow's unusual size requires that it be anchored to the ground when fired. Only uses specialized great arrows."
Acquired from:
The Dragonslayer Greatbow is found in Anor Londo. To reach it, you must enter the church vestibule with the two giants facing each other that is located just before the boss fight with Ornstein and Smough. If you ascend either staircase in this room and reach the upper level, there is a broken stained glass window. Head through this window to land on a stair-like ledge. If you follow this ledge in a descending fashion, you will find the bow on a hollow corpse impaled on some metal spikes. To grab it, you have to roll or jump beyond the spikes to land on a flat area where the bow is accessible.
Notes:
- Give to Frampt to receive 100 souls.
- Even though this weapon is two-handed, it will still require 20 strength to use.
- Can only be used with Dragonslayer Arrows and Gough's Great Arrows

Real question here I'm doing a bow only run using a +15 compound bow aside from the knock back and range stats are identical. Is there any reason for me to switch to this bow?

Hands down my favorite weapon in this game. Turns most areas into target practice. It also just does amazing damage in general and has range. Not usable in every boss fight, but a surprisingly high amount. Used it by itself to beat Capra, O&S, Four Kings (then again on NG+) and Gwyn. Manus seems impossible lol, unless you count cheesing him from outside.
