Gold Coin

Coin made of gold, with Allfather Lloyd and his white halo shown on its face.
Even coins of great value in the world of men have little value in Lordran, where the accepted currency is souls.
Those who dream of returning to the outside world are fond of carrying these around.

Gold Coin is a Tool in Dark Souls.

“Those who dream of returning to the outside world are fond of carrying these around”

So these guys on the coins are big boys in “the outside world”. I’m curious what they mean with outside world. In the descriptions of the coins they also talk of a “world of men” what did Allfather Lloyd that they put him on a coin…

In the description, it says that the coin depicts Lloyd. If we take a closer and careful look at him, he seems to be wearing a crown that resembles Gwyn's crown, the original ruler of Anor londo and the gods. It is already know by the white seance ring's description that Lloyd was Lord Gwyn's uncle, but what many do not know is thay in japanese, his title "allfather" actualy should properly translate to "King of the gods", and also, in the ds3 Lloyd sword and shield rings, the description lines that say that he was a "derivative fraud" should properly translate to "collateral relative". With this information, and assuming that the firstborn ruled over Anor londo after Gwyn went to the kiln, and that he was expunged after Gwyn had left, we can speculate that Lloyd was the one that expunged the firstborn, and that he ruled over Anor Londo and the gods after that (granting him the title of King of the gods), and that the "collateral relative" line meant that he became the king not because he was a direct descendant of gwyn, but because he was his uncle and closest relative fit for the throne, making him a collateral succesor, and not a truly rightful one.
