White Dragon Breath is a Sorcery in Dark Souls. To cast a sorcery, you must use a Catalyst or Special Weapons that can cast Sorceries.
Sorcery developed by Logan during his infatuation with Seath the Scaleless. Emit crystal breath of Seath the Scaleless.
Although it no longer causes curses, what madness caused old Big Hat to appropriate this frightful power of the ancient dragons?
Usage
- Ranged Attack
- A straight line of crystals pop out of the ground in front of you, shooting towards your target.
Acquired From
- Dropped by Big Hat Logan after he goes insane.
Notes
- Can only hit targets on the ground.
- Can hit multiple targets.
- The spell can climb up walls.
- A slow casting time comparable to heavy soul arrow.
- This spell seems to deal damage equal to (Catalyst Mag. Adj. x 2.5). This was tested by using two catalysts at Int 50 against the first Undead in Firelink Shrine.

So.... this spell isn't needed for the Plat?? I just got the achievement without having this spell, I'm very confused

pve-wise, this is the strongest spell right after soul spear. Plenty of casts, overall pretty good.

Description lacks important information.
Since WDB crawls on ground and has wider hitbox than other spells it can easily stuck on many obstacles. I could be anything... Ledge, rock, bush... It's just like every projectile spell will pass above this as well as every arrow, bolt and every meele attack. But no WDB. It will stuck on it.
While it can pass through whole bunch of enemies sometimes little ground object or height difference is enough to block whole spell. This make it's effectiveness limited and random unless you have clear and straight path to your target. And if there's any gap between you and your enemy you can be sure he's totally immune to WDB.

Idk why some ppl say it's trash. Pvp, maybe, because you'll have a hard time hitting anyone. But Pve? Definitely not. It hits a bit harder than GHSA, has a small aoe, and it can go through enemies, not to mention it has 20 casts compared to the 8 GHSA has. If you can meet the requirement, this is an amazing replacement for GHSA or other soul arrows as your bread and butter spell.

Definitely worthy in PvE. It might seem odd to have a higher requirement than crystal soul spear when it has lower damage and longer casting BUT it offers the full package of being a spell with high uses like soul arrows and high damage like regular soul spears, It’s your ultimate PvE spell!

You can also drink a bottle of ice-cold Listerine on ex for a similar spectacle

I recently used this on a host who was running up a set of stairs and it shot up them super fast and crystallized the host right up the ass

Hey I'm playing on the xbox one backwards compatible dark souls 1 and white dragon breath isn't working properly at all
this is actually really really good, idk why people are complaining, with dusks ring this will have 30 entire casts, that will get you through any level, like for example the dlc, the cast speed might be slow, but one thing nobody mentions here is that this spell cant miss your target if your infront of them, with all of the other spells once an enemy is ontop of you, your fked, your spell will just arch straight over their head and they will rush you and finish you off and you cant do anything about it, with this spell this will never happen, so basically: if your fighting a boss, use dark bead/crystal soul spear/homing crystal soul mass, against regular weak enemies, use this spell, against stronger enemies use regular soul spears, then again this one might one shot them as well.
